Homes Under the Hammer's Dion Dublin hits huge milestone on BBC show

Homes Under the Hammer star Dion Dublin took a moment to reflect on his time as a presenter.

Homes Under the Hammer's Dion Dublin celebrated a significant landmark on the show that has become a morning favourite on BBC One.

Presenting the episode aired on Tuesday (11 March), the ex-footie turned property guru teamed up with Martin Roberts in exploring real estate gems. Dion took a trip around properties in Liverpool and Staffordshire, while Martin set off to Devon for some potential hotspots.

During his Liverpudlian venture, Dion popped by a two-bedroom terraced house in Dingle, snapped up by a pair of best mates online, eager to give it a new lease of life through major renos. .

His walkthrough surfaced plenty of fixer-upper challenges but also prompted reflection on his time with Homes Under the Hammer, reports Wales Online.

Dion couldn't resist commenting on the tiny garden cluttered with trash as he toured the ground floor, saying: "That is possibly the smallest outside space I've seen on Homes Under the Hammer."

This visit not only highlighted the home's quirks but led Dion to muse on his lengthy stint with the programme, saying: "I've been working on this show for eight and a half years! Can you believe it?! Eight and a half years. And, I'm loving it!"

Since Dion kicked off his journey with the Homes Under the Hammer crew in 2015, he's secured his spot as a staple presenter alongside Martin Roberts, Martel Maxwell, Jacqui Joseph, and Tommy Walsh.

Following his retirement from football, Dion transitioned into television. He has served as a pundit for Sky Sports and provided commentary for numerous matches. He's also co-hosted radio shows and was a regular on BBC One's Late Kick Off.

He's made appearances as a pundit on other programmes such as Football Focus, Match of the Day and Final Score. In 2021, Dion showcased his culinary skills on Celebrity MasterChef, making it all the way to the final.

In addition to his media work, Dion is a club director at Cambridge United. During his football career, he played for top teams including Manchester United, Coventry City and Aston Villa. He also earned four caps for England and had a stint in the Scottish Premiership with Celtic.
