I'm A Celebrity 2018: Harry Redknapp, The Chase's Governess and Coronation Street actress confirmed

EXCLUSIVE: The Governess Anne Hegerty and Corrie's Sair Khan will be joining the legendary football manager in Australia

Legendary football manager Harry Redknapp has signed up for I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here.

The former Spurs and West Ham gaffer will be heading to the jungle along with The Chase star Anne Hegerty and Coronation Street actress Sair Khan.

Ann plays the role of fierce brainbox The Governess on the hit ITV gameshow, while Sair is famous for starring as Alya Nazir on the cobbles.

All three will be heading off to Australia in the coming weeks before the show launches in mid-November.

This year's I'm A Celeb is set to be just as watchable than ever, as Holly Willoughby is confirmed to be hosting the show alongside Declan Donnelly as a stand-in for Ant McPartlin.

Football fans will he hoping Harry, who is dad to Jamie and uncle to Frank Lampard, spills some secrets from his three decades in management.

Redknapp, 71, is unlikely to be much use in the jungle, having previously admitted that he would struggle to get through a day without wife Sandra to prop him up.

He said: “I wouldn’t cope. I’m useless. She treats me like a baby. She does everything. I can’t cook, I can’t make a coffee, I can’t do nothing.”

Harry, who was sacked from Birmingham City in September 2017, is believed to be trousering more than £100,000 for the show.

A source said of him joining I’m a Celebrity: “Harry is never anything less than good value. He’s had a long, interesting career and knows a lot of famous people. He’ll be fun to watch.”

Anne will remember him as someone who lost cash as he crashed out of a 2016 charity episode of The Chase – on a question about football.

Harry was asked: “The tune of The Stars and Stripes Forever is used for which football chant?”

He chose Glory Glory Man United and was stunned to learn it was actually Here We Go.

And Anne, 60, known as The Governess on the ITV quiz, definitely has the edge on knowledge – she is a regular visitor down under as she also appears on the show’s Aussie version.

Corrie's Sair, 30, joined the ITV soap in 2014 as part of its first Muslim family – and found herself under fire over one of her storylines earlier this year.

Her character, trainee factory manager Alya Nazir, seemed to get one over on Underworld boss Carla Connor when her half-brother Aidan left the factory to her in his will.

But the story caused a backlash and Sair said she stopped looking at social media to avoid trolls.

She said: “I get worried people confuse it and think it’s real life. I’m much nicer and only half as much of a bitch as Alya is.”

Fans can now watch to see if she causes a rumble in the jungle too.

Other stars rumoured are DIY SOS host Nick Knowles, 56, and Inbetweeners actress Emily Atack, 28.

Inbetweeners actress Emily was tipped to be part of the IAC line-up earlier this summer, after reportedly going into talks with ITV.

If she does appear, bosses will be hoping she spills all on her rumoured 'fling' with Strictly star Seann Walsh.

While DIY SOS host Nick is said to be one of the most expensive signings to date as producers dug deep in ITV’s pockets to reportedly secure him.

Nick has previously talked about going into the jungle, telling Lorraine Kelly: “I think it would be quite fun to do because of all the trials, I quite fancy having a go at that. I’d rock the hat.

“I get asked every year and I’ve always said I wouldn’t do it but who knows? I got a little boy who needs looking after and if it comes to it I’ll never say never. “

Other names in the frame include Hollyoaks' Stephanie Waring, Love Island star Alexandra Crane and The Saturday's star Frankie Bridge.

This will be the first series where Ant McPartlin is not presenting the show following a turbulent year.

Ant pulled out of the presenting gig, the first time in 16 years, to focus on his sobriety after receiving treatment for his drink and drug addictions, being convicted of drink-driving, splitting from wife Lisa Armstrong and moving on with their ex-PA Anne-Marie Corbett.

He will be replaced by This Morning host Holly Willoughby, who might struggle because she is "scared of everything".

When confirming the news, Holly said: "I couldn't be more excited to have been asked to stand alongside Dec for the next jungle adventure.

"I love Ant and want to send him my best wishes and support for a continued recovery. These are big shoes, not to fill, but just to keep warm for a little bit."
