Inside Molly-Mae's crisis call with Tommy Fury as she turns to medication for stress

Molly-Mae Hague is shown on the phone with Tommy Fury which brings up old problems again in the new series of her candid Amazon Prime documentary Molly-Mae: Behind It All

Reality TV star and businesswoman Molly-Mae Hague has lifted the lid on the rows and romance with partner Tommy Fury in her new series. She says she hopes to move back in with him – but only if she can get over her anxiety and relationship fears as there are still cracks showing on screen.

In Season Two of Molly Mae: Behind It All on Prime Video, the 26-year-old opens up about difficulties in her life, saying she has turned to beta blocker tablets in a bid to help cope with stress.

Molly-Mae also admitted she still worries now when Tommy is around alcohol, which was one of the main reasons they split in August 2024 and moving back in feels like “putting all my eggs in one basket”. And in one scene, minutes into the third episode, she is shown hanging up on him and saying “I’ll speak to you another time”.

She also uses the Prime Video series to talk about having a part time nanny for two-year-old daughter Bambi, who regularly steals the limelight when she is in front of the cameras this time around.

On boyfriend Tommy, concerned mum Molly-Mae said: “Tommy and I in an ideal world, we wouldn't be in two separate houses, and hopefully, maybe by the end of this year, we won't be.

“I just don't know what I'm gonna do about this house [her home in Manchester], because I definitely, definitely don't want to sell it. I definitely don't want to rent it out. I want the option of still coming here If I need to.

“The thought of going over there and putting all my eggs into one basket again? It's just obviously it's scary, because with me and him, I never know what tomorrow's gonna bring.

“I just think I get anxiety, because I don't know if I'm gonna, like, wake up and just be in a big problem. Because there's been many a time I wake up and I've got a big problem on my hands.”

And in a separate scene when she is on holiday in Wales with a friend, she argues with Tommy on the phone and hangs up on him.

Molly-Mae says: “I don't want to be a nag and I don't want to be a bore, and I want him to be able to do his thing. But there are still things that make me anxious, and that's not his fault. I think it's more so me dealing with it,” she confesses to her friend.”

Sitting down, she adds: “Even though Tommy and I have been so much better and we've been getting to a much better place, there's still things that trigger me so badly, like I hear the word alcohol, and I'm like, 'Oh,' I mean, I'm tense, I'm shaking, I'm like, really anxious.

“I care so much about Tommy and our relationship that when that's not on form, and when there's an issue, it's just all so consuming for me. I had this panic attack, and I was, like, being sick. I thought, Oh God, this is not good. Like, this is, this is really bad.

“Because my body is literally not coping with it, not coping at all with the anxiety. Yeah, it was so bad. Had to have beta blockers because I was so anxious.

“The past does affect me, especially when away with Bambi, and I feel like, ‘Oh, I'm doing it all’ because I'm away with her, even though I've chosen to go away with her, I'm just trying to navigate it the best I can and kind of accepted it's just part of the journey.”

Molly-Mae is engaged to Tommy after the couple met on Love Island in 2019. They become the most famous and celebrated romance from the ITV series.

But after they got engaged and had their daughter Bambi together, they split in August 2024 amidst rumours Tommy had cheated, something he has always denied.

The first series of Behind It All focused a lot on the split and subsequent attempts to patch up the relationship. In series two she admits she is not wearing the engagement ring he gave her as she “doesn’t feel quite ready”.

The series also shows her trying to expand her Maebe fashion business, with many clothes lines selling out on launch day this Summer after she posed in the outfits. But this means long working hours and sometimes she has to spend time away from Bambi.

In a conversation with her dad she confirms she does now sometimes get childcare help, which has been the subject of some speculation online.

Aside from the relationship and motherhood woes, there are many lighter moments in the series, including when potty training for Bambi goes wrong and she leaves a poo in the bath, before proudly telling her dad Tommy about it. She also is seen insisting “sausages and ice cream” for lunch and giving one bird an entire bag of bread when going to feed ducks at a pond.

The first half of the series ends with Molly-Mae agreeing to join the likes of Eva Longoria, Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevingne on the Paris catwalk for L’Oreal. But when she lands in the French capital she hates the dresses they have chosen for her and her anxiety again threatens to ruin the day.

As the credits roll she said: “I’m going to have a panic attack. I am not standing next to Eva Longoria, and Kara and Kendall not feeling my best.”

Speaking in January to Men’s Health, boxer and TV star Tommy Fury had admitted to some issues with alcohol. He said he would still get up early to play and feed Bambi but at other times when he used to train he would hit the bottle.

He explained: “It’s not like I’d get up in the morning and start drinking, but rather than sit in bed all day and fester, I’d think ‘why not go out?’ Where I'd normally be in camp, I’d just be smashing Guinness left and centre and then later on in the night shots would come out. Most nights I would drink to get blackout drunk. I think that's what really took its toll on me.”
