Mayor of Kingstown season 4 trailer teases Sopranos legend in ‘darkest’ outing yet
The fourth season of the critically acclaimed drama Mayor of Kingstown has added some huge new names to the cast
Mayor of Kingstown has shaken up the cast for its fourth season as a new trailer has teased Mike McKlusky’s (played by Jeremy Renner) greatest challenge so far.
The hit crime drama from co-creators Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon follows Mike, the unofficial ‘mayor’ of his company town whose biggest industry is incarceration.
Mike acts as a mediator between inmates, gangs and cops, stepping up as the head of the family following the tragic death of his brother Mitch (Kyle Chandler) in the first episode.
Season four will pick up after the events of the third season left a power vacuum with the Russians no longer running the streets of Kingstown.
Meanwhile, Mike’s younger brother, police officer Kyle (Taylor Handley), is currently in prison after shooting a fellow cop to protect a civilian.
Season four will introduce two major new rivals for Mike, including legendary Detroit gangster Frank Moses, portrayed by legendary British star Lennie James.
Plus, The Sopranos icon Edie Falco will portray Anchor Bay’s formidable new warden, Nina Hobbs, who gives Mike some stern words of warning in the latest trailer.
“There’s no more free passes,” she says. “This is my castle now. Do we understand each other?”
A synopsis for the new season reads: “In season four, Mike’s control over Kingstown is threatened as new players compete to fill the power vacuum left in the Russians’ wake, compelling him to confront the resulting gang war and stop them from swallowing the town.
“Meanwhile, with those he loves in more danger than ever before, Mike must contend with a headstrong new Warden to protect his own while grappling with demons from his past.”
Countless fans have been watching the drama go from strength to strength over the last few years and have shared their ecstatic reactions to the first-look at season four.
One Redditor gushed: “Jesus this looks amazing. I’m speechless. I have zero complaints.”

Paramount+ is offering 50% off its Standard and Premium subscriptions until July 10.
“Been waiting for the new season, Renner is so good in this role,” another said.
The discussion continued in the YouTube comments, where one viewer said: “Mike not having control of his domain. This is probably going to be his most challenging season yet.”
Someone else exclaimed: “Oh man, this looks so good! Soooo excited for it to start again.”
And a final fan commented: “Oh yeah, ridin' again soon! I hope this series go on for a good long run. 10 yrs. or more would be sweet!”
