Netflix viewers all say the same thing about guest star's cameo on Heartstopper season three

Heartstopper season three was finally released on Netflix this week - and fans have been going into overdrive with their thoughts.

After the highly-anticipated third season of Heartstopper dropped on Netflix this week, fans have been taking to social media to share their reactions.

The third instalment saw Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey make a cameo appearance as Jack Maddox, an Instagram-famous classicist who Charlie (Joe Locke) has a crush on.

After binge-watching the episodes, Heartstopper fans flocked to Reddit to share their thoughts on the cameo and it looks like they're all saying the same thing.

One person expressed: "Would have loved to see his cameo a little bit longer but I like the way they did Jonny's cameo. Start of more projects like this which he could be part of or help be part of telling."

Another viewer wrote: "It is the cutest cameo. I found myself smiling the whole time... ha ha! But I wanted more. They promoted it a lot just for a couple of minutes. Got my hopes high." (sic)

Somebody else penned: "He's an absolutely perfect addition to the cast, I just wish he was cast as a regular instead of a guest appearance."

It was officially announced that Jonathan would be making a cameo appearance on the hit Netflix show.

In May, during an appearance at the Met Gala, the actor told Variety: "Like so many people, I watched the first [season] and thought it was one of the biggest, most beautiful gifts to so many people, and I wish I had that growing up."

Jonathan enjoyed the show so much that he expressed his desire to be a part of the show and made it happen.

He continued: "I had a mutual friend who knows [executive producer Patrick Walters] and I just said, ‘If there’s anything I could do to help and be a part of that story'.

"It’s not just for our community. It’s for every person who is a member of a family who has a member of the LGBT+ community. It helps all of us."

The LGBTQ+ show, based on Alice Oseman's graphic novels, follows teenagers Charlie (Joe Locke) and Nick (Kit Connor) as they navigate their romance.

Despite the pair being in a fully-fledged relationship at the beginning of season three, the two have to overcome various struggles.

The season finale left the show on a cliffhanger as Nick contemplated leaving to go to Leeds for university, which would mean leaving Charlie behind.

Heartstopper season three is available to watch on Netflix now.
