Strictly Come Dancing professional 'shaking' and issues warning ahead of next routine
Strictly Come Dancing professional Alijaz Skorjanec has shared his fears ahead of the next performance with celebrity partner La Voix
Strictly Come Dancing star Alijaz Skorjanec has admitted he's "shaking" ahead of his next performance with La Voix.
The duo are dancing a Cha Cha Cha on Saturday night to Hit Me With Your Best Shot, with Chris Dennis - the first Drag Queen on Strictly - revealing it could be "dangerous".
During an appearance on It Takes Two with host Fleur East, Chris shared: "There's moves in this choreography that if they go wrong, one of us could be knocked out."
He added: "There are drops to the floor, you're going to see acrobatics."
Joking that Alijaz now better add those moves into his choreography, the professional dancer was left saying: "Why would you say that?!"
"La Voix's dance partner can't do those things," Alijaz replied.
He went on: "I'm genuinely worried, the dance and the story of the dance, like Chris just said, is very intense. That's the best way to do it.
"And if you do one move too soon or one move too late it can be seriously dangerous."
"There's a lot of jeopardy in this," Fleur replied, as Alijaz admitted: "I'm shaking, actually."
This comes after La Voix spoke about Alijaz incorporating her signature humour into their performances, but said she was ready to lean less on humour as a “safety hook”.
She told BBC News: "We've got to do this really straight, really sincere, and really beautiful. And that's hard for me.
"I need to show a journey, that I'm versatile, I can do both. I think it would really be nice for the judges to see that I am taking the dancing seriously.
"I really want to do well in the competition."
She added: "I just want to do as well as I can in Strictly and to work with a burly bloke like Aljaž is a nice bonus."
Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two airs weekdays at 6.30pm on BBC Two
