This rom-com is perfect for anyone looking for a swoon-worthy movie to watch on Valentine's Day

Netflix subscribers who adore a good romantic flick are in for a delight with this captivating enemies-to-lovers film that's now readily available for streaming in the UK.

No extra charges will apply, and account holders can indulge in this spirited comedy where two professional rivals find themselves irresistibly drawn to one another.

Though the 2021 release didn't charm all critics, it boasts a decent 69 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and fans who ardently argue it's top-tier romcom material of the 2020s.

Lucy Hale and Austin Stowell light up the screen in The Hating Game, which has landed on Netflix right on cue for Valentine's Day celebrations. One glowing Google review exclaimed: "This was a surprisingly good movie! The chemistry between Lucy Hale and Austin Stowell is so good!

"I know sometimes these love/hate tropes can be slightly predictable, but this was cute. Just the right amount of cheesiness, chivalry, push and pull and then the characters getting together."

A dedicated admirer of Sally Thorne's original novel stated: "Just finished watching this and I loved it! The Hating Game is one of my favorite romance books and I was pretty satisfied with this movie.

"I feel like they stayed true to the book and really brought it to life. I smiled, I swooned and I laughed. I want my own Joshua Templemann", reports the Express.

Fans raved about the romance, with one saying: "Lucy Hale was so beautiful in this and Austin is so gorgeous. I think those that have read the book will be happy with how this turned out."

A five-star review on Letterboxd gushed: "Yes I've watched it twice in 24 hours and you know what??? I'll probs watch it again."

Another ecstatic review said: "I'm still feeling the endorphin rush. Ridiculously cute.

"A pretty accurate adaptation from the book, some lines were taken verbatim which is always a joy and the few adjustments made didn't really bother me (this is a movie not a netflix season, time constraints ppl!)

"I need more such adaptations for more contemporary romance books.

"It is romantic, sexy and FULL of chemistry! FINALLY a romantic comedy I'd die for in 2021, they don't make them like this anymore!"

"I don't even regret watching it a third time in a row it's that good and I have ZERO SHAME," one Hating Game enthusiast admitted.

And a final fan said: "I don't even know where to begin with this. I thought it was going to be absolutely utter dog s*** and it WAS NOT.

"You know those steamy wattpad books you used to read? This is exactly like if someone made a good one into a movie. It's perfect. It's genius. And it genuinely made me cry."
