Meaning of Glass fragment to museum We know that the knowledge of people about glass is very limit . They only know one aspect of glass material , it is like as a whole photo but people only can use some part of it. So, we image that what people know is only a small fragment piece of glass. And our museum mission is collecting all knowledge fragment of glass put inside to museum . Each gallery of museum become one glass fragment , once visitor visit one gallery means they know more about glass.

This is a museum planning area of Singapore which is near Singapore Art Museum and other museum of Singapore . As a first museum of glass in Singapore , we named our museum in very most simple way for people to remember about our musem : SINGAPORE MUSEUM OF GLASS with slogan a window into the world of glass.
A window into the World of Glass :Museum slogan is explain a part of our purpose .Window is as a connection between people with outside world. When you said open a window is meaning you are bring a outside world in your house with sun , wind and other things. In our case there is a similar thing ,we would like to become a window , we want people to open it by coming to our museum . Everything about glass is here.
The glass fragment shape
From the broken pieces fragment , they combine to together in 2D shape and become 3D shape . The angular shape of fragment use into the floor plan of museum by space planning rooms and gallery . The concept also apply in wall and details in museum . From fragment shape to glass feelings. The space now shapes with glass fragment but to bring to feeling of glass into space what we use next is characteristic of glass material to create a characteristic of museum space.
