positive attitude towards life and a smiling face. When psychologists talk of personality , they mean a dynamic concept describing the growth and development of a persons whole psychological system. Personality refers to the sum total ways in which an individual reacts to and interacts with others .!t is often described in terms of measurable traits that a person e"hibits.

ambitious , loyal and timid. $hose characteristics , when theyre e"hibited in a large number of situations, are called personality traits. %ome approaches for testing the traits are as follows:-
B&) F&*e(5) M"+e% :E,' "*e !&"#: - &"traversion reflects how much you are oriented towards things outside
yourself and derive satisfaction from interacting with other people. 'igh scorers are said to be (e"troverts( while low scorers are said to be (introverts. !ntroverts will tend to become tired out by sociali#ation, while &"troverts will be energi#ed by it. !ntroverts value down time while e"troverts value stimulation. )ue to their disposition, e"troverts will usually be good at social interaction due to lots of e"perience, introverts tend towards the socially awkward. !n my case, ! am moderate in activity and enthusiasm. ! en*oy the company of others but ! also value privacy . as ! have taken a test for this activity ,! got +., on the scale of -.so ! can say that ! am an average person for e"troversion and depends on situation. Whenever ! meet someone first time ! am little introvert sometime but when the time goes on .,! really en*oy the company of that person and ready to share my thoughts with that person..

behavioral characteristics that are perceived as kind, sympathetic, cooperative, warm and considerate. !n contemporary personality psychology, agreeableness is one of the five ma*or
dimensions of personality structure, reflecting individual differences in cooperation and social harmony. !n my case, ! am generally warm ,trusting , good natured and eager to cooperate and avoid conflict but sometimes competitive. /s ! have taken a test and in that ! got +.0 points on the scale of -.%o in this activity, ! am good at agreeableness. ! am ready to cooperate anyone whether ! know him or not.

vigilant2 it implies a desire to do a task well. !t reflects how careful you are, both in respect to organi#ation and rules. !n my case, ! am dependable and moderadtely well organi#ed. ! generally have clear goals but are able to set my work aside. !n the test ,! got +.3 on the scale of -. !t means that ! am very careful about the rules but find difficulties in applying to it. !f any work is given to me ,! ready to do this work in full desire but ! find difficulties to follow the rules for completing this work .

with positive emotional stability tends to be claim, self confident and secure. $hose with high negative scores tend to be nervous an"ious, depressed and insecure. !n my case , ! am very emotional person . if anyone is in sad mood or dilemma happen to him. ! am also involve with that person in his sadness. 4ut it depends, !f the person is very near to me then ! really think about that person in both cases i.e. happiness and sadness. ! am generally calm and able to deal with stress, but ! sometimes e"perience feelings of guilt, anger or sadness.

terms of imagination ,sensitivity and curiosity. !n my case , ! am not having a high level of imagination but having a great curiosity of doing new things and ready to grasp new technology and new ways to learn
4ut in terms of creativity, ! am not able to think out of the bo" ,in this ! am lacking this trait, but ! am working hard on imagination and creativity . ! want to improve a lot in this trait.

of our actions are contingent on what we do 5internal control orientation6 or on events outside our personal control 5e"ternal control orientation6 . /s far as my locus of control is concerned ,! have both internal and e"ternal control but ! strongly believe that if anyone having strong e"ternal locus of control i.e hardworking person ,ready to take up challenges 7 full determination , then internal control help him to achieve in life internal means luck and all religious things that help a person to achieve in his life . /s ! have clear my mat e"am with 89 percentile, the reason behind this : firstly the hardwork in preparing for e"am i.e. e"ternal locus and behind this some internal ia also works so ! achieve this.
Se%5 6 M"#&'" &#) :- %elf-monitoring is a theory that deals with the phenomena of
e"pressive controls. 'uman beings generally differ in substantial ways in their abilities and desires to engage in e"pressive controls. !n my case , ! am staying true to myself and are unwilling to modify my behavior *ust to get the approval of others. ! probably do not like to be the center of attention very often. ! can only argue for ideas for which ! already believe. ! would not change my opinions 5or the way ! do things6 in order to please someone else or win their favor. ! rarely seek the advice of my friends to choose movies, books, or music. &ven if ! am not en*oying myself, ! often pretend to be having a good time. !n different situations and with different people, ! often act like very different persons.
M$/7&$*e%%&$#&!1 :- ;achiavellianism is also a term that some social and personality
psychologists use to describe a person<s tendency to be unemotional, and therefore able to detach himself from conventional morality and hence to deceive and manipulate others. !t is a degree to which an individual is pragmatic, maintains emotional distance, and believes that end can *ustify means.
!n my case, this trait is very less as ! am emotional person ! can not detach myself from conventional morality ,to pursue or achieve my goal but in my professional life , ! want to side my emotionalism because in professional life , no emotions are there we have to be practical so ! am unemotional 7 tends to deceive and manipulate others to a limit .
A0'7" &'$ &$# :- =avoring or enforcing strict obedience to authority at the e"pense of
personal freedom. /uthoritarian personality is a state of mind or attitude characterised by one<s belief in absolute obedience or submission to one<s own authority, as well as the administration of that belief through the oppression of one<s subordinates. !t usually applies to individuals who are known or viewed as having an authoritative, strict, or oppressive personality towards subordinates. !n my case, ! have rate it down as an authoritative person . ! cant enforce something which is beneficial for me but it will come at the e"pense of others freedom.in my college life while pursuing the b.tech , there have occurred many chances when there is a situation , ! have to use this authoritative trait but ! never used that trait but some of my colleagueas used that trait in terms for internship as well as at placement time. %o in my opnion , there should be very less percentage of this trait , you have to bear this.
T(2e A " T(2e B : $he theory describes a $ype / individual as ambitious, rigidly organi#ed, highly status conscious, can be sensitive, care for other people, are truthful, impatient, always try to help others, take on more than they can handle, want other people to get to the point, proactive, and obsessed with time management. People with $ype / personalities are often highachieving (workaholics( who multi-task, push themselves with deadlines, and hate both delays and ambivalence. $he theory describes $ype 4 individuals as a contrast to those with $ype / personalities. People with $ype 4 personality by definition generally live at a lower stress level and typically work steadily, en*oying achievement but not becoming stressed when they are not achieved. When faced with competition, they do not mind losing and either en*oy the game or back down. $hey may be creative and en*oy e"ploring ideas and concepts. $hey are often reflective, thinking about the outer and inner worlds.
!n my case, ! am a $ype / personality guy,because ! have already discussed , my emotional stability is bit much higher , caring towards people and try to help others and not authoritative. !n my college life , ! am the coordinator of the technical fest of my college and have assign the right work to right person .! am truthful to everyone if anyone of them is not doing the work as it should be and ! have to give him advice in such a manner that he>she will not get hurt so ! am taking care of it and also to my values and ethics , ! am very truthful to it.
