Online Event Management
1. Introduction
Online event management website is considered one of the most strategic marketing
and communication tools by colleges and universities. This website includes event
design, budgeting, negotiation and of-course, a student service. Currently, events
are advertised manually with the use of pamphlets and brochures etc. This website
provides event planners with software tools to handle many common activities such as
online information about events and registration. An online registration system will
offer the ability to watch your registration data flow into the database in real-time.
2. Definition of the Problem
The existing method for advertising events undertaken by different colleges are
circulating brochure-ware , pamphlets etc and getting entries by paper registration. So,
it is a lengthy and difficult. The best solution to overcome the above problem is
developing a website in which different types of events undertaken undertaken by
several colleges will be able to manage and students will be able to get related
information and rules regarding events in the website. The website will even consist of
online form which is comparatively high security standard and the safeguard than the
paper form.
3. Objectives of Project Proposal
Needless to say that event website is a key focus of your mix. The days of brochure-
ware are distant. The modern attendee learns about what to offer, connect with other
attendees and ultimately fills the registration forms on your website.
The following are the advantages of the website:
1. Quick and easy registration for the participant.
2. Online information available about the events.
3. Automatic confirmation emails.

4. Online data submission is secure.
5. Real-time reports.
6. Less use of paper which will save trees and environment.
Existing Methodology
Currently, the events undertaken by colleges and universities are advertise through
campaigning done by students to different colleges. They need to advertise the events to be
held in their respective colleges through banners, pamphlets etc and register interested
students name by providing them a form and getting it back filled them. As, it is very
difficult, lengthy and time consuming procedure, the solution to it is designing a website in
which students will get the list and related information regarding different events held under
different colleges and register online itself. The website will help to deliver thousands of
successful events each year.

Hard disk:500 MB
Processor : core 2 duo
SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
Operating system :windows XP or windows 7
Front end: PHP
Back end: SQL
