High Quality Products

While the warranty provides added assurance, TE products are market leaders in terms of their quality, preventing problems
before they happen. Our representation on all of the major national and international standards committees provides an
on-going assurance that TEs copper and fibre connectivity will meet or exceed the latest edition of these standards at a
component level, as well as at a system level.

Global and Local Support

The TE Network, Design & Installation (ND&I) program provides quality assurance from design, installation and
commissioning right through to operation over twenty- five years. All companies who install a TE system must be accredited
within the ND&I program in order to support the TE25 warranty. These companies are trained by TE to the highest standards
and will provide professional first line support. With a presence in all of the worlds key markets, TE Connectivity is also able
to extend this warranty support to that most complex of IT infrastructure challenges, a global roll-out.

About TE Connectivity
Comprehensive Warranties for all Applications
The TE25 warranty covers copper and fibre components from comms room to the desk, including campus, backbone and
data centre environments. With the TE25 system warranty, every element of your physical infrastructure can be warranted
to the latest international cabling standards. As a result, you can be assured that a TE system, installed by a qualified ND&I
program installer, will support all application protocols and transmission speeds
specified within these standards at the date of installation.

No-Added Cost Simple to Obtain

There is very little time and no extra cost incurred to obtain a TE25 Warranty.
Specifying a TE25 warranted system and an installer who is part of the ND&I
program is the key. The chosen installer will do most of the work, completing
the simple Warranty Application Requirements and forwarding to TE for processing. Following a thorough review of the test
data and the application form, a certificate will be issued confirming that the installation is now covered by a TE25 System
Warranty.

The TE25 Year System Warranty Provides Cover on the Complete Cabling
System
Comprises cable, connectors, connecting hardware and patch cords
Covers defects in either materials or workmanship for the full 25
years
Ensures that all signal carrying components meet the prescribed
mechanical and transmission specifications for these products
Includes repair or replacement of defective products- at our cost
Includes the labour cost

Direct to End User

The TE25 Warranty is a contract made directly between TE Connectivity
and the customer.
How It Works:
1. End user selects TE Connectivity Cabling system
2. End user selects ND&I program installer
3. ND&I installs, tests and documents the cabling system
4. ND&I provides defined project documentation and test results to TE Connectivity
5. TE grants warranty to end user

The TE25 Component Warranty

For those occasions when a full system warranty is not appropriate, for example where confidentiality or security issues
prevent full details of the system being shared with TE, a component warranty is available. Less stringent in terms of
the registration requirements and not as comprehensive as the system warranty, it still provides 25 year cover for all TE
components to the latest international standards.

NETpodium Rack System
The NETpodium rack system provides the cable management necessary for the Cu and FO intensive areas of todays data
centres. This innovative enclosure can accept 45 1HU patch panels, is equipped with 2 large vertical cable attachment
ducts to store and attach Cu and FO cables. The use of the newly designed cable managers provides complete bend radius
protection at every turn to ensure network performance and reliability.
When used in conjunction with TEs Universal Connectivity Platform (UCP), NETpodium results in a significant increase in
Rack Efficiency (RE) where rack efficiency is the ratio of percentage of available space used to the amount of usable space
within the rack envelope.
1. Storage - Two large vertical channels at the core of the frame allow installed copper and fibre cables to be correctly
stored whilst maintaining correct bend radius and physical protection.
2. Accessibility - Cable management arms specifically designed to organise patch cords for easy access and re-access
during MAC work (Moves Adds and Changes), and to ensure bend radius protection during patch cord transition from the
panel to vertical ducting
3. Presentation - Multiple fixing locations allow accessories to be located exactly where needed along the entire 45U
height of the rack. Tool-Less fasteners for securing panels and accessories can be inserted in to a T-Channel in the
vertical posts and guided to the correct location before being simply snapped into place.
4. Efficiency - NETpodium when used in conjunction with TEs Universal Connectivity Platform (UCP), results in a
significant increase in Rack Efficiency (RE) where rack efficiency is the ratioof percentage of available space used to the
amount of usablespace within the rack envelope. In addition to the these four points NETpodium can be deployed to serve
in many different functional areas of a data centre.As a frame it can be bayed in a line-up or placed back-to-backwith other
NETpodium racks to be used as a cross-connect. Configured as a closed cabinet it can offer the physical security required
for End of Row, Server Rack, or Entrance Facility solutions. NETpodium deployed with UCP offers a versatile solution.
Together they give the flexibility to deploy and then adapt a physical infrastructure to meet, as yet unforeseen, networking
needs as they arise.

TE Connectivitys Universal Connectivity Platform (UCP) provides a fully modular approach to designing data centres and
telecommunications rooms. This patch panel is ideal for rapidly evolving environments because it supports both TEs plug-andplay copper and fibre solutions.
TEs UCP enables business transformation by virtue of its modularity. It is designed to accommodate all of TEs cabling media,
whether copper or fibre, to support the 10, 40 and 100 Gigabit network connections in a single patch panel. By simply selecting
the media, network equipment can be changed in a controlled fashion as the network demands.
Rack space is always a premium in the data centre or telecommunications room, especially in existing infrastructure. The UCP is
designed with this in mind, incorporating maximum flexibility for different needs and architecture. The panels can be installed in
a 19 inch cabinet/rack, or installed overhead or under raised floors. By moving the panels overhead or under the floor, they can

The product range is a factory pre-terminated and tested solution with a high
density MPO connector as the heart of the system. Recent developments with
this connector have resulted in a higher performance variant giving not only
a lower loss, but also a higher return loss. This allows for multiple connections
between transmission equipment, which is commonly used in data centres.
The system is designed for the reliable and quick operations in data centres,
where the obvious benefits are less space requirements and a much better
scalability.

In each fibre optic system, the link from source (Tx) to receiver (Rx)
needs to be flipped once. In a complete MPO/MPOptimate link this
flipping is provided by one flipped cassette, while all other components
in this link shall be installed as straight version. MPOptimate ready for
10, 40 and 100 Gb/s The MPOptimate system is designed to support
10G Ethernet and 4/8/16GFfibre Channel applications through the
complete structure of a Data Centre, as specified in ISO/IEC 24764, EN
50173-5 and TIA/EIA 942. The MPOptimate system is designed to have
6 cassettes per link for 10 Gb/s with a full 300 meter support on OM3
fibres and 550 meter on OM4 fibres.

Real-time, Real Smart Intelligent Patching Systems
This fully automated system optimises asset utilization, maintains accurate documentation and helps to prevent costly
errors. AMPTRACs easy-to-implement hardware coupled with TEs cutting-edge software, ICM (Infrastructure Configuration
Manager) can be integrated into new or existing networks. By allowing you to respond immediately to any changes in
connectivity through customisable alerts or alarms.
The AMPTRAC System Analyser discovers connects/disconnects and communicates the Port ID information in real-time to
the AMPTRAC Database over the TCP-IP connection.
When a patch cord is inserted or removed from a port, the AMPTRAC sensor circuit immediately notifies the database
software to update and document the change in connectivity. Via the integrated iDiscover Module, AMPTRAC also discovers
all SNMP enabled active equipment like Work Stations and Servers as well as Switches and moves them automatically to their
physical location within the infrastructure.

TE Krone Frame
Advanced Patching Frame
The 42U Advanced Patching Frame (APF II) from TE Krone has been specially designed for high
density cabling installations. Available in three configurations - open frame only, frame with doors or
as frame with doors and side panels if more security is required.
The design of the APF II allows excellent management of cabling to and from the panels and active
equipment mounted within. Correct cable management is essential in ensuring a cabling system
will meet standards performance criteria. The modular frame is supplied complete with two 42U
cable trays and ten cable management arms. The cable management arms can be positioned
where required on the frame. The APF II also incorporates two vertically mounted bus bars allowing
screened panels to be earthed using short earthing straps.*
*Earthing straps not supplied with frame and must be purchased separately.
