- When and how did he become the Emperor of the Byzantine Empire? (in 518 AD
and he went to Constantinople, got adopted by his uncle Justin who had a
high position in military, received excellent education and became the
Emperor after Justin died)
- What were the major accomplishments of the Emperor? ( Reunited the empire and
expand the Byzantine Empire, rebuilt the Hagia Sophia, reformed the laws)
- What was Justinian Motto? (One Empire, One Church, One Law)
- Teacher will ask 4 students to provide the answers and will write down on the board
so that they can add if they miss the correct information.
- Use power point slide to show three reflective questions:
