Japanese Paper Origami
OBJECTIVES:
At the end of an hour the student should be able to:
1. Discuss the Origami.
2. Identify the different kind and different paper folding of Origami.
3. Create an Origami.
CONTENT:
The Japanese word Origami is a combination of two words, ori which means
to fold, and kami which means paper. Is believed that origami began in 16th
century and because of the high cost of paper origami was only used for ceremonial
and religious purposes.
PRIOR KNOWLEDGE:
The student might think that:
1. Origami is just simple paper art.
2. The arts of japan at present awe, and wonder or delight.
NEW KNOWLEDGE:
The student understood that:
1. Origami is not just a simple paper art.
2. The arts of japan present strong emotion such as excitement, joy,
and melancholy.
