How To Use Multimeter Analog

A multimeter can be used to measure electric current, DC voltage, AC voltage, and resistance. It is also used as a tool to check electrical circuits and components. The multimeter has a selector switch to choose the type of measurement and probes to connect to the circuit or component under test. For example, to measure battery voltage the selector is set to x10 VDC and the red probe is connected to the positive terminal and black probe to the negative terminal to read the voltage value on the scale. To measure resistance of a light bulb, the probes are pressed to the contact points of the bulb base with a helper holding the glass and the needle will move to zero ohms on the scale.

I will explain how to use analog multimeter

Multimeter is a measuring instrument that can be used to measure electric current and DC or AC
voltage, but it can also be used to determine the value of resistance (resitansi).
The multimeter is also used as a tool to check the truth of an electrical circuit, also to check the
feasibility of an electrical or electronic component.

Parts of the multimeter:

how to measure battery voltage using multimeter. The trick is

By directing the selector switch to x10 VDC, since we know the battery voltage is not
more than 10 Volts, so it is directed to x10.
Next Attach the red cue to the positive pole (+)
Attach negative strikers to negative pole (-)
Notice the needle on the multimeter leads to what value, we see on a scale of 0 - 10 just let
it be easier, because later calculations will also be easy.
Then the result is the designated value, for example pointing 1.5 means the voltage of the
battery is 1.5 Volt.
Next how to Measure the resistance of something like a light bulb that you
know is good. Locate the two electrical contact points of the bulb. They will be the
threaded base and the center of the bottom of the base.
Have a helper hold the bulb by the glass only.
Press the black probe against the threaded base and the red probe against the
center tab on the bottom of the base.
Watch the needle move from resting at the left and move quickly to 0 on the right.
