Initial conditions for the circuit below: switch is open and capacitor is uncharged.
Determine the initial and steady state currents through each resistor.

The Si Darlington transistor pair has negligible leakage current, and β1 = β2 = 50. Let
VCC = 12V, RE = 1kΩ, and R2 to be a very large value (approaching infinity).
• Find the value of R1 needed to bias the circuit so that VCE2 = 6V
• Find the resulting VCE1
