American Bar Association

This letter from Paul T. Moxley, chair of the ABA Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary, is addressed to Chairman Grassley and Ranking Member Feinstein of the Senate Judiciary Committee. It informs them that new information regarding Brett Kavanaugh's temperament during his Senate hearing has prompted the Committee to reopen its evaluation of him, but it does not expect to complete the process and revote before the scheduled Senate vote. The original Committee report should still be considered but in light of this new information.
