INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS

1. These assignments contain TWO (2) questions that are set in the language of the printed module
for the course.

2. Your assignments should be prepared by individual AND group. You should not copy another
group’s assignment. (refer the question)

3. Answer in English.

4. Your written assignment should be typed using 12 point Times New Roman font, 1.5 line spacing
and justify.

5. Your assignment should be between 10 to 15 pages including pictures, references or other


appendix. Do not copy the assignment questions and instructions to your answer. (refer to the
question)

6. The assignment submission must be in two forms:


a) Softcopy: ON-LINE via UNIECVIRTUAL
b) Hardcopy to your lecturer/tutor

7. Your assignments must be submitted from:


a) Assignment 1: - Week 6.

b) Assignment 2: - Week 9.

8. Your mark will be deducted (5 marks) if you fail to submit within the duration.

EVALUATION

You would be informed of the assignments mark before the Final Semester Examination commences.

Assignment Guidelines (Content and Scoring) : CURRICULUM IN EARLY CHILDHHOD EDUCATION (CSZD1043)
OCTOBER 2017

1. ASSIGNMENT 1- Individual Work (25 marks)


‾ Choose ONE early childhood education program (EXAMPLE: Reggio Emilia, Early Years Foundation Start, Bank Street, Montessori, Head
Start, etc.).
‾ Plan and produce a scrap book based on the program you have chosen.
‾ The scrap book must have the following:
• Introduction of the selected ECE program
• The learning environment (class)
• Materials
• Curriculum content and approaches (how the curriculum is implemented with children).

‾ You may use your handwriting or type the content. Use your creativity to produce a good scrap book. It should contain 10 – 15 pages.
2. ASSIGNMENT 2 – Group Work (15 marks)

‾ With reference to the curriculum guideline- Dokumen Standard Kurikulum dan Pentaksiran (DSKP) , plan an activity on any ONE of the six
cores/strands (tunjang). Your activity should have the following:

 objectives of the activity


 steps/stages in conducting the activity
 materials that would be used in the activity
 indicate how you would assess children’s performance in the activity.

‾ Prepare a written report according to the contents stated above. It should contain 10 – 15 pages.

‾ Present the activity in class with your lecturers/tutors using Microsoft Power Point.
