AIM AND OBJECTIVES

The main objective of the farming application housing is to help the farmer with agriculture

techniques and enable him to get a fair price for his products by providing access to the market

directly.

ABSTRACT

The farmer application brings the technology to the farmer. The application is implemented in

android which primarily helps farmers to sell their produce to sellers and retailers. This application

gives support to the village farmers in using e-farming to sell their products. If the farmers have

knowledge of computer then they can directly register in the application and sell their product

otherwise, they can contact company’s computer professional who will schedule classes to teach

them basics of computers and internet. They can know how they can open this site, register with

it, and sell their products online etc. Also the application gives information to the farmer regarding

farming raw materials like seeds, soil type, latest equipment’s available etc. Farmers can use this

facility and improve their farming practices as well. They can also ask queries to their problems

and solutions will be provided. This e-farmer app will act as unique and secure way to perform

agro-marketing. The system allows farmers to sell directly throughout the country without any

middlemen and enables him to earn optimum rates.

EXISTING SYSTEM AND DRAWBACKS


In the existing system the farmer is dependent on the middle men for sale of his produce and
thereby his profit is reduced. Also the latest techniques in farming, seeds, soil, equipments are not
accessible to the farmer. Hence they are pushed into a debt trap leading to unwanted incidents like
farmer suicides.

PROPOSED SYSTEM AND ADVANTAGES

The proposed model enables ease of access to technologies available like water requirements,
equipments, market requirement, etc. enabling the farmer to take informed decisions.
