born September 30, 1980 Virgil is an American fashion
designer, DJ, and music producer who has been the artistic
director of Louis Vuitton's men's wear collection since March
2018. Apart from his work at Louis Vuitton, Abloh serves as the
chief executive officer of the Milan-based label Off-White, a
fashion house he founded in 2013. He entered the world of
fashion with an internship at Fendi in 2009 alongside rapper
Kanye West. The two then began an artistic collaboration that
would launch Abloh's career into founding Off-White. Time
magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in
the world in 2018.

Early life and
Virgil Abloh was born on September 30, 1980, in Rockford,
Illinois, to Ghanaian immigrant parents. His mother was a

seamstress. His dad was a manager in a paint company. Abloh
was raised in Rockford, where he attended Boylan Catholic High
School, graduating in 1998. He graduated from the University of
Wisconsin–Madison in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree
in civil engineering. He received his Master of Architecture at the
Illinois Institute of Technology in 2006.
