• Must be submitted on time to get the full grade
A. Objectives
○ If submitted on second day, highest grade 80
• Assess the newborn through a complete and accurate history and ○ If submitted on third day, highest grade 70
comprehensive physical examination ○ If submitted after third day, zero
• Diagnose newborn disorders commonly encountered in general
practice based on clinical history, thorough physical examination,
and appropriate laboratory work-up Freedom Space
• Come up with differential diagnoses based on the salient features
presented
• Develop a plan of management (diagnostic tools and treatment plan)
for the above common newborn problems
• Identify neonatal conditions needing emergency interventions
• Counsel mothers on the benefits and proper technique of
breastfeeding
• Demonstrate professionalism in dealing with patients, families, and
other health professionals
