1] Create three empty files using touch command only once.

2] Create file using cat command add the contents to it and save it. Then
append (Add) the content to the same file using cat command and show the
result.

3] Create three directories Dir1, Dir2 and Dir3 with single command and show
the result.

4] Create associated directory structure D1/D2/D3 with single command. (hint


use man page for help of mkdir command.)

5] create one directory BCADATA and copy all three files created in first
question to this directory using cp command.

6] Create softling for a file /var/log/messages on /root/Desktop with same


name using ln command and show the result.

7] Create hard link for a file /etc/passwd on /root/Desktop with the same
name and show the result and check the inode no. And size of original file and
hard link file using ls –il option.

8] View the current date and time of the system and change it using date
command.
