MT 900 – Confirmation of debit
Scope
Danske Bank uses this SWIFT message to notify the account owner of an entry which has been debited to
its account. The entry will be further confirmed by statement.
Usage
This message type is used as a confirmation to the receiver (account owner) of a debit to its account
originated by a MT101 message.
Prior to taking the functionality included in this message type into use, an agreement must be made for
ordering the message by contacting Danske Bank.
Format description/message usage guidelines

20 Transaction Reference Number Maximum 16 alphanumeric characters.
Contains Danske Banks payment reference number
(10 characters)
21 Related Reference Maximum 16 alphanumeric characters.
Contains a reference to the payment initiation
message.
When the MT 900 is related to a previously received
SWIFT MT message, it contains field 20
(“Transaction Reference Number”) of the original MT
message.
25 Account Identification Maximum 35 alphanumeric characters.
Identifies the account which has been debited. The
account is represented in IBAN format.
32A Booking Date, Currency Code, 6!n3!a15di
Amount of the debit
(Date yymmdd) (Currency) (Amount including decimal
point).
