INTRODUCTION [INTR]

This is a compilation of all the events dialogue from Front Mission 2 into one
file. Events basically refers to the scenes which play out during the video
game and do not occur during mission play. This is also the last section that
remains fully in Japanese, as every other section is already in English (or
in the case of the Network, in "Engrish").

As such, this script is meant to be used in conjunction with the video game's
Patch 2 release.

HOW TO USE THIS GUIDE

---------------------
Basically, all scenes that are shown in the game will be noted to some degree
in a chronological format. For example, if there is a mission or a special
event (see the FM2_Readme file from the Patch 2 zip for more on this), then
their occurrence will be noted. However, their dialogue will not be shown
since it will already be in English, provided Patch 2 has been applied.

For the dialogue in the full-motion videos (FMV) for Front Mission 2, a link
to the subbed versions on YouTube will be noted.

Ash: The alarm? What the!?

(Move to the Hangar)

Amia: Ash! This is bad! It looks like an assault by the Alordesh military!

Ash: Why the hell would the Alordesh military attack an O.C.U. base!?

Amia: I don't know! Right now, we've just got to join the fight!

Ash: Got it, let's move out. Roughly how many enemies are there?

Joyce: I don't know how many, but there's wanzers and some battle helicopters
too!

(Upon leaving the area)

Joyce: You ready to go?

Ash: Alright, let's do this!!

MISSION 01 - O.C.U. MDF Rimian Base

BATARI FOREST:

Joyce: Well, looks like we lost them. What do we do now?

Ash: You manage to contact any other bases?

Joyce: Nope. No matter which one I try to contact, there�s no response. It�s
strange. Like we�re the only ones left in the whole world.

Ash: Well something�s strange...Joyce switch to civilian radio frequencies.

Joyce: Got it...

Announcer: ...At dawn today, forces lead by Alordesh Military Lieutenant

Colonel Ven Mackarge captured a great number of anti-coup forces
and O.C.U. military personnel. Among those captured was the head
of the Alordesh Military, General Gwianda, and it seems likely
that the coup will succeed. The coup leader, Lieutenant Colonel
Ven Mackarge, has declared the People�s Republic of Alordesh
entirely independent from the O.C.U., and has stated that if the
Alordeshi government and the O.C.U. Central Parliament do not
recognize this independence, the safety of his hostages cannot be
guaranteed.

Ash: Ven Mackarge...

Amia: You know him?

Ash: There�s no one I don�t know in the Alordesh military.

Amia: Right, you were in the Alordesh military.

Joyce: Don�t worry about that. Let�s think about a way to get out of this
country.

(A map is opened)

Ash: This is the shortest route to the border.

Joyce: But, if we go this way, we have to go through the O.C.U. Ground

Defense Force�s Ramanston Base.

Amia: We might run into the coup d�etat forces.

Ash: Even so, if we take any other route it�ll take a hell of a long time to
reach the border. It�d be even more dangerous.

Joyce: I guess we don�t have much choice then. But, we only took out a few
of the enemy wanzers. How are we going to deal with the next bunch?

Amia: Don�t worry about that. I grabbed some repair equipment, ammo, and
wanzer parts when we fled the base.

Ash: In any case, we should try to avoid battle as much as possible until
we reach the border.

(Upon leaving the area)

Joyce: Well, is it time to move out?

Joyce: I�m praying we don�t get spotted by the enemy!

Ash: Yeah, I don�t want any problems until we reach the border.

MISSION 02 - O.C.U. GDF Ramanston Base Environs

O.C.U. GDF RAMANSTON BASE ENVIRONS:

Thomas: Well then, let�s get down to business. You guys are Marines?

Ash: That�s right.

Thomas: So, you guys must have fled from the coup d�etat forces who attacked
Rimian Base right?

Ash: Yeah.

Thomas: So, you�re heading over to the border by Feni river?

Ash: That�s right.

Thomas: Well, then you�ll be completely eradicated.

Joyce: What!? What the hell are you talking about!?

Thomas: The coup d�etat forces have helicopter patrols flying out of
Ramanston along the border. You�ll be spotted for sure.

Joyce: ...

Amia: Well then, how can we escape the country?

(A map is opened)

Thomas: Basically, we need to head for the capital � Dhaka.

Joyce: Whoa, whoa, hang on General. Dhaka is bound to be swarming with coup
d�etat forces.

Amia: What�s more, the border is right here. But, we�d be heading straight
for the interior.

Thomas: Don�t worry, I�ve got an acquaintance in the Dhaka suburbs. If we

meet up with him, I can get him to help us escape the country.

Ash: Can we trust him?

Thomas: More than you can trust me! Gwahahaha!

Ash: ...
Thomas: Hey, hey, don�t be so nervous! I don�t wanna die, so I�m not gonna
tell ya any lies.

Ash: So, what do we do?

Joyce: Well, he is our superior officer. Why don�t we try trusting him?

Thomas: Yeah, that�s more like it! Gwahahahaha!

(Upon leaving the area)

Thomas: Well, should we be heading out then boys?

Thomas: Alright, let�s move!

SPECIAL EVENT 02 - Saribash Labra

SARIBASH'S HOUSE:

(Reception Room)

Saribash: You must be tired. Make yourself at home.

Saribash: So, you guys want to flee the country right? Before the coup forces
catch you, that is.

Thomas: That's right Saribash, help us out will ya?

Saribash: Hang on, I'll do whatever I can. However, we've got our hands full
with our own problems right now.

Joyce: Are you throwing your lot in with the coup forces?

Saribash: Watch your mouth!! Are you trying to say I'm selling weapons to
Ven!?

Thomas: Whoa, whoa. Calm down, Saribash.

Saribash: Anyhow, you guys will have to help me out with my problems. If you
do, I'll return the favor.

Amia: You're asking us to help out the mafia?

Saribash: Thomas is my friend, but you guys are a different story. That's why
I expect you to put some effort in if you want my help.

Joyce: ...

Saribash: It looks like we both need some time to calm down... Lila! You
here!?

Lila: What is it, Papa?

Saribash: Would you show them to the guest quarters?

Lila: Of course. Please come this way.

(Move to the Guest Room)

Lila: Please relax and make yourselves at home.

Thomas: Well? What's the matter with you guys?

Amia: Haven't you heard that Burg Shomity sells arms smuggled out of the
O.C.U. to foreign countries? I'm not interested in helping with
smuggling.

Joyce: I don't trust this guy either. He might sell us out to the coup
forces.

Thomas: It's only because you guys don't know Saribash that you'd say that.

Amia: I want to get out of this country as fast as we can, but I'm not about
to stick my neck out for the mafia.

Thomas: But, what if helping Saribash is the best way to get out of here?

Amia: That's...

Ash: Is that the truth, Thomas?

Thomas: It's definitely better than us trying to get to the border by

ourselves.

Roswell: I agree with Miss Amia. After all, I always defer to the will of a
beautiful woman...

Amia: ...

Rocky: ...

Ash: ...Rocky?

Rocky: Yeah, what's the matter, Ash?

Ash: You know me from somewhere?

Rocky: Nah, it's nothing...anyhow, I agree with Thomas. That's all I've got
to say.

Thomas: Ash, you're from Alordesh right? You should know just who Saribash
is.

Ash: So you knew...

Thomas: What, I just figured it out from the way you talk.

Ash: ...Saribash is considered a hero in this country. Since he's the only
one willing to stand up to the O.C.U. ...but, I'm not for Alordesh or
the O.C.U. I just want to survive.
Thomas: Hmm...

Joyce: I don't trust the mafia. No matter what reason they give, I won't
help them!

SPECIAL EVENT 03 - An Independent Alordesh

SARIBASH'S HOUSE:

(Guest Room)

Ash: Joyce!

Thomas: Joyce, it seems Ash and the others have made up their minds. They're
going to take Saribash up on his offer. What will you do?

Joyce: I'll do what needs to be done...I'm fine either way...I'm gonna hit
the hay.

Ash: Joyce...

Thomas: It's decided. Well, I think I'm gonna get some shut eye too.

(Reception Room)

June 13, 2102 - 7:00 AM

Thomas: So, that's why we've decided to take you up on your offer, Saribash.

Saribash: I see. You're going to help me out, eh? ...When I got angry...last
night, well I'm sorry about that.

Joyce: ...

Ash: It's fine. We were never too caught up on it.

Saribash: Okay, good. Go get ready then. Oh, and this is data on the coup
d'etat forces at the objective. I'll definitely help you out to
take a look at it on the network.

Saribash: Well, hurry up and get your preparations done.

(A map is shown)

Saribash: The objective is in Dhaka - a storage facility owned by my company.

Rocky: Company?

Saribash: Burg Shomity is just a name the media made up. Our real name is
Burg Transportation. That's my shipping company.

Amia: What's in the facility?

Saribash: Weapons I took from the O.C.U. Ven will definitely try to come
after them. We're out to take as many of the weapons as possible
 before he does.

Ash: What's Ven's beef with you?

Saribash: That's got nothing to do with you. Just protect the transport truck
we'll use to move the weapons.

Amia: We're going to be the only guards for the convoy?

Saribash: My employees will be making a diversion. It doesn't seem like the

coup forces have an HQ in the capital, so our forces should be
more than adequate.

Thomas: The coup forces are short of men...huh?

Saribash: In any case, I'll give ya 1000 up front. You can do your setup in
the basement of the building. But, it'll cost ya.

Roswell: What, it's not free? Man, you're cheap.

Saribash: You guys are looking for a way out of the country, right? This
should be more than enough for that.

Thomas: Haha, you never change. Alright, let's get ready to fight, you bums!

(Move to the Hangar)

Hangar Manager: I heard from the boss. But, I'm not gonna lower the prices
for ya just 'cause you're the boss' pals. Oh, that's right.
Here, I'll give you this. It's the address and password for
our company. You can get parts anywhere in the country by
using our online shopping service.

(Return to the Reception Room)

Saribash: Thomas, I'm sorry...but I've got one more favor to ask.

Thomas: Favor? Well, spit it out then.

Saribash: This country needs me. I can't die right now. The revolution has
put my life in danger. So, I formed a guard unit to protect me,
but their training just isn't going well. So, I was wondering if
you guys could...

Thomas: You want us to train your forces.

Saribash: Yes. I believe pros like you guys could turn the Saribash Unit into
an elite fighting force. So how about, will ya train them? Of
course, I'll pay you a nice instructor's fee.

Thomas: Instructor's fee eh...well, I guess that'd make me a teacher.

Saribash: That's right. I'd like you guys to teach my unit.

Thomas: Hey, hey, hang on a sec. I don't look much of a teacher, do I?

Wouldn't she fit the part a lot better?

Amia: No way! I already said I'm not interested in helping the mafia, didn't
I?
Thomas: That's it! I thought you could save face for me.

Amia: "No" means no!

Joyce: Hey now Amia, if you agree to train the Saribash Unit, I'm sure you'll
be put out of your misery pretty quick. No doubt about it.

Amia: That's not much of a reason.

Thomas: Oh come on! It can't be that hard to do.

Amia: It's not like you've got much to begin with, but I guess it can't be
helped.

Saribash: So, you'll do it for me!? Let's head over to the Agit training
room in the basement then.

(Move to the Training Room)

Saribash: Hey! Is Ace here!?

Bodyguard Captain Ace: Heya Bossman! You got a job for me?

Saribash: I've got a tutor for you guys.

Bodyguard Captain Ace: We don't need no tutors, boss man.

Saribash: You moron! Don't you understand I can't even send you off to fight
at your current level of skill?

Bodyguard Captain Ace: Ouch. Sorry 'bout that boss man!

Saribash: Miss Amia here will be your tutor from this day forward. She's an
expert in battle, so listen to what she has to say.

Bodyguard Captain Ace: H-hey...

Saribash: If you increase their level by just one point I'll up your teacher's
wage. I'll give Ace the money, so you get it from him. Here's the
200 for the first class. Give it your all for me. I'll leave things
up to you, Amia. You can find me in my room.

(Ask Ace for an explanation of training)

Bodyguard Captain Ace: How to train me? Man, cut it out already, Miss Amia.
How the fuck am I supposed to know that? If you don't
know, then why would the boss man hire you?

(Ask Ace for his current level)

Bodyguard Captain Ace: Our level? You don't even need to look it up since
it's rock bottom zero.

SIMULATOR MISSION - Saribash's House

SARIBASH'S HOUSE:

(Training Room)

Bodyguard Captain Ace: Miss Amia, it looks like our level has gone up to 1.
And you get $300 from the boss man. You're looking to
get out of the country, right? This should be more
than enough for ya.

(Return to Reception Room and head out)

Amia: Joyce, why did you choose to take Saribash up on his offer?

Joyce: Oh, it's nothing...I'm not doing it for Saribash. Like Ash, I just
don't want to die.

Thomas: Well, ready everyone?

Thomas: Alright, let's move out!

MISSION 03 - Downtown Dhaka

DAUKANDEI:

Amia: Are all the towns in this country like this?

Ash: What do you mean by �like this�?

Amia: So gloomy with trash scattered everywhere.

Ash: ...

Lila: I am glad to see you are safe everyone.

Thomas: Hey, Lila, you came to meet us?

Lila: My father is waiting in his office.

Joyce: His office?

Thomas: She means the Agit base. The sign on the door says �Burg
Transportation� though.

Lila: Please come this way.

(Move to Agit)

Thomas: Is Saribash in the reception room?

Lila: Yes...but, Thomas...you should know my father is very...

Thomas: I�ve got it. He�s in a bad mood right? No worries, it�s because the
town was so smashed up after all.

Lila: ...

Thomas: Don�t worry, it�ll be fine Lila. Well everyone, let�s head into the
office.

Joyce: Lila...I�m sorry about bringing up such a nasty topic last night...

Lila: Oh no, it�s fine. Don�t worry about it.

Joyce: Yeah...well then I�ll be going.

Lila: Right.

(Move to the Reception Room)

Thomas: Hey, do me a favor and calm down will ya?

Saribash: Calm down!? This is no joke, Thomas. Ven...that dirty bastard bombed
the capital! How many civilians do you think died out there!?

Thomas: I understand Saribash, I understand.

Saribash: ...fuck, was it my fault because I wanted to move those smuggled

goods?

Thomas: ...

Saribash: Thomas...here�s your payment...but don�t leave just yet...

Amia: What about getting out of the country?

Saribash: Just give me some time...I can�t think straight right now...

Thomas: I got it. Come on everyone let�s give him some time alone. ...Huh?
What happened to Rocky and Roswell?

Ash: They took off to have some drinks just as soon as we got into town.

Thomas: Ha, those two are hopeless. Well, why don�t we go join them?

(Return to the city)

Ash: ...

Thomas: What�s got you so spaced out?

Ash: Hm? Oh, it�s just that the town I was born in is close to here...I�m,
you know...

Thomas: Hrm, your hometown eh? ...it�s like a microcosm of this whole
country. Rusted out buildings, lifeless markets, streets filled with
the poor...everyone at a loss for what sort of future they might
have...

Ash: What made Ven so determined to launch his coup...?

Roswell: Heya, Thomas.

Thomas: Where�d you guys run off to?

Roswell: We found an arena!

Thomas: An arena? For wanzers?

Roswell: We came to get ya, Thomas. Miss Amia too, of course. What about you
Ash? You wanna hit up the arena?

(Select NO)

Ash: Nah, I�m alright.

Amia: I don�t want to go either.

Joyce: I�ll pass too. I�m pretty beat.

Thomas: Got it. Well then, we�ll head there by ourselves.

(Move to the Underground Hangar)

Hangar Manager: The new Leonora Enterprise models are in. Here, this is
Leonora�s network address. You can load your wanzer for bear,
but a lighter load out will let you move faster.

(Move to the Half Moon Bar)

Bartender: This is just between you and me, but you should know the Alordeshis
are allergic to O.C.U.

Lonely Martin: Gulp, damn this booze is good! Tastes better �cause the
revolutionary forces are taking down the O.C.U.!! Hey, you
drink up too!!

Wistful Nick: Anyone thinking of making for the border should just give it up.
It doesn�t matter who they are. Anyone would be caught and
executed.

Good Time Rosanna: Looks like the capital is in dire straits. But. there�s no
way the war will come here.

One-Track Mind Elena: Revolution�s got nothin� to do with me. As long as I�ve
got a good drink in my hand, I�ve got nothing to
complain about.

(Move to the Arena)

Eager Teddy: Strong fighters are treated like heroes in this town. Maybe I
should become one too.

Solemn Carl: Sigh...when I fight it�s as though I�m remembering something

long lost...sigh...

Fangirl Ann: The champion of this arena is a mystery man! He never takes off
his helmet during a fight! Hardly anyone knows his true face!
Fighting Man Enthusiast Dorothy: Men are only truly alive in battle. I just
can�t stand a man who has forgotten how to
fight!

(Ask for an explanation of the Arena to the Arena Manager)

Arena Manager: In the arena, you can pit your wanzers against those of other
competitors. There are two kinds of battles held: 1v1 �Solo
Fights� and up to 5v5 �Team Fights.� If you win battles, you
will receive cash rewards and prizes. On the other hand, if
you lose your fight, we will retain the fight money you paid
to enter.

(Ask for an explanation of solo fights to the Arena Manager)

Arena Manager: Solo fights are 1v1. Before the battle begins, you will have
to choose the weapons you want to use in battle five times.
These will be used in sequence for five rounds until a winner
is determined. Please take note that in the case that a weapon
you chose to use becomes unusable (if the arm it is equipped
on is destroyed) then you will be unable to act in the round
when you chose to fire it. For example, if you chose to use
the weapon on your left arm five times in a row, as soon as
that arm was destroyed, you would no longer be able to attack.
Victory conditions are to either destroy the opponent wanzer's
body, or to render its weapons inoperable.

(Ask for an explanation of team fights to the Arena Manager)

Arena Manager: These fights involve a maximum of 5v5 combatants. The enemy
team will always have 5 machines, but you can choose to send
from 1 to 5 wanzers against them. The rules of battle are
identical to a regular battle. However, you cannot steal parts
from the enemy. In addition, there is no option to surrender
or give up. The victory conditions are to defeat the enemy
leader.

(After asking for all three explanations to the Arena Manager)

Arena Manager: Oh right, here�s a network password for you. It�ll let you view
data about the other arena combatants. Information can make the
difference between victory and defeat.

(Return to the Reception Room after participating in at least one arena fight)

Saribash: Ah, it�s you guys. Sorry for blowing up at you earlier.

Ash: Don�t worry about it. We�re more interested in how we�re going to escape
the country.

Saribash: Ah right, the plans are already made. But, are you fleeing too?
You�re an Alordeshi, aren�t you?

Ash: ...

Saribash: Hey forget it, everyone�s got their own story... Get Thomas over
here. Once everyone�s assembled, we�ll discuss the plan.

(Return to the Arena)

Amia: Thomas! Saribash wants to see you. Let�s get back to Agit.

Thomas: Hang on, this is just getting good.

Joyce: Jeez, we all want to get out of this country ASAP. Come on.

Thomas: ...

(Return to the Reception Room)

Thomas: You calmed down, Saribash?

Saribash: Yeah, sorry about that. The fact that I can�t keep a handle on my
emotions is a sign of my age.

Thomas: Well, I�m not exactly a spring chicken either.

Ash: So, how are we getting out of the country?

Saribash: Right, the plan�s ready. I�ve even contacted the O.C.U.

Amia: The O.C.U.?

Saribash: That�s right.

(A map is shown)

Saribash: The O.C.U. military recently began hostage rescue missions around
the country. Rescued prisoners are being taken from the southern
coastline by helicopter to O.C.U. controlled waters. I already
contacted the O.C.U. and asked for your rescue. If you can make it
to the coastline, they�ll handle things the rest of the way.

Amia: Wow.

Joyce: When do we leave?

Saribash: Right away. You have to get to the coast by the end of the day.

Joyce: By the end of the day...huh...

Saribash: However...

Thomas: What is it, Saribash?

Saribash: Thomas, if you�re willing I�d like you and your men to stay in the
country.

Rocky: Why�s that?

Saribash: I�ve decided to face Ven. I cannot stand by and see him wound this
country any longer. That�s why I�d like your help. Of course, you�d
be compensated...

Amia: Are you kidding...our lives aren�t to be bought and sold. There�s no
way I�d agree to that!!

Thomas: I understand, Saribash.

Amia: Thomas!!

Thomas: Roswell! Rocky! What are you two going to do?

Roswell: Hrm...why not. I�ll stick around, boss man.

Rocky: Count me in too.

Thomas: Ash?

Ash: I...even if I stayed in this country, there�s nothing I could do.

Thomas: You feel the same way?

Joyce: Yeah...

Thomas: So it�s decided then, Saribash. Us army grunts will stick around with
you.

Saribash: Thanks, Thomas.

Thomas: No need to thank me. More importantly, can we get these three safely
to the coast?

Saribash: Yeah, I�ll leave that to you.

Thomas: Well then, let�s get ready to go.

(Upon leaving the area)

Saribash: Are you ready to go?

(Select YES)

Saribash: Well then, take care.

Ash: We owe you one.

Saribash: Forget it, I�m the one who should be thanking you.

Amia: Who�s going to show us the way?

Saribash: One of my wanzer pilots and Lila will do it.

Joyce: Lila!?

Saribash: Yeah, she�s ridden wanzers since she was a little girl. She�s no
novice.

Lila: Well then everyone, let us depart.

Lisa: Have you been able to establish contact, Sayuri?

Sayuri: Yep. Two MDF wanzers and two GDF choppers are standing by. Which do
you want?

Lisa: Both.

Sayuri: Both!?

Lisa: Is that a problem?

Sayuri: No...just, the GDF and MDF have their rivalries...

Lisa: They�re all professionals. In battle, they�re required to cooperate.

Sayuri: Got it. I�ll ask for both.

Lisa: Oh, and don�t forget the sling helicopters for us.

Sayuri: Right, no worries.

(Upon leaving the area)

Sayuri: Ready to leave?

(Select YES)

Sayuri: The sling helis should be here any minute. Let�s head for the meeting
point.

Heavyweight wanzer developed in association with the Zaftran Republic�s

Demitri Inc. Although the Raven complies with the international MULS-P
standard, its parts are approximately 1.4 times the size of that of an
average wanzer, and it is clear that the designers did not intend for its
parts to be interchangeable with those of other wanzers. The Raven�s standout
characteristic is that it is typically equipped with a Sakata Industries BD
Series computer which is based on technology that utilizes the human brain
as its processor.

Four Raven models were produced, including the initial prototype model, and
all of them were field tested during the 2nd Huffman Conflict. It is believed
that the wanzer�s test pilots were Zaftran, but there is no proof to confirm
this speculation. It was stated that all produced Raven models were destroyed
either in battle or in testing accidents.

At approximately 5 PM, following the success of the hostage rescue operation

on June 17, Alordesh Revolutionary Army forces guarding the capital Dhaka
under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Ven Mackarge engaged in a large-scale
battle with O.C.U. forces which continued for over 2 hours.

During this battle, the Revolutionary Army dispatched 2 PB-40 strategic

bombers from O.C.U. Deean Air Force Base to launch strikes in the capital.

As a result of these strikes, the O.C.U. forces were almost entirely

destroyed, and the whereabouts of their commander Andrew Hordman are currently
unknown.

The Alordesh Revolutionary Army has once again occupied the capital, but with
over a thousand casualties arising from this battle, it is rumored that the
criticisms of the Revolutionary Army are increasing.

Maylan: It�s supposed to be a lot more than just that. The Lieutenant Colonel
thought that if he could get a hold of it, our independence would be
assured.

Griff: What, so you were lying to us about what this thing is really about!?

Sayuri: It�s no lie! We just thought if I explained it, you wouldn�t

understand.

Lisa: Just like Sayuri said, we were lying. But, I didn�t want to discuss
any of the specifics of the system...

Maylan: I have to know. This system is part of what started the revolution,
after all.

Lisa: ...Alright, fine. I�ll talk. ...the system can completely control
unmanned weapons. That much is true.

Griff: But, that shouldn�t be such a big deal right now. It�d be useful for
controlling wanzer-equipped cruise missiles, but not much else.

Lisa: You�re not thinking big enough. What if it could control 3 wanzer
armies, 4 helicopter companies, an aircraft carrier and the planes
onboard it?

Cordy: ...you could certainly take control of Alordesh with that.

Lisa: Once you input the operational data into this machine, your units will
keep fighting until they run out of power. All you need humans for is
to resupply them...

Griff: I don�t like it one bit. It�s the same as robots controlling humans.

Lisa: But, the system was developed without the approval of the O.C.U.
Central Parliament...

Griff: If it was revealed to parliament, what�d happen?

Lisa: It�d be a scandal even bigger than Sakata Industries.

Maylan: So, the Lieutenant Colonel wanted to blackmail the O.C.U. with the
 device...

Cordy: But, Ven never had the system.

Lisa: We have to find it before the Revolutionary Army does.

Maylan: What if you find it? Are you just going to let the O.C.U. military
use it?

O.C.U. prisoners you captured?

Pike: The remote controller for an automated weapons system the O.C.U.
Military is dead-set on hiding. I�m going to find it and tell the whole
world about their little plan. That�s why I came to Alordesh.

Thomas: ...Is something like that really all that useful?

Joyce: What do you mean, Thomas?

Thomas: Well, wirelessly operated machines are vulnerable to EMP bursts.

There was a time when EMP weapons had limited range and weren�t very
effective. But nowadays, military satellites can unleash pulses of up
to 1000 km in radius. Against a weapon like that, this automated
weapon would be so much junk.

Pike: Why don�t you tell them about it Lisa? They�re not such big-shots after
all.

Griff: Is there something you still haven�t told us?

Pike: Do you want me to explain then?

Lisa: No. That won�t be necessary...one of the terrifying things about the
system is certainly the fact that it can be remotely controlled...but,
there�s another... The system has another function... The system is
equipped on an artificial satellite. Though it's somewhat bound by
technical limitations, the system can basically take control of all
other satellites in range of the path of its orbit... That isn�t
limited to O.C.U. satellites. It can take control of any nation�s
satellites... The system can then make use of any satellites it hacked
as weapons... Of course, it can then use those satellites to strike
targets on the ground.

That�s the true purpose of the "FENRIR" system...

Griff: FENRIR, huh...

Thomas: Nuclear weapons equipped on military satellites, EMP weapons,

surveillance equipment...it can take control of all those things...
 "He who controls space, controls earth", huh.

Pike: No point in leaking that kind of technology to other countries. It�d

be a shame to be harassed by so many foreign powers.

Lisa: ...

Pike: Lisa, our objectives are different but we�re chasing the same thing.
If you�re willing, I�d appreciate your help.

Sayuri: Yeah right! As if we�d ever work with the CIU!

Lisa: After we find FENRIR, you promise not to stop me from destroying it.

Joyce: What should we do about what they were talking about back there? It
doesn�t seem to have much to do with us.

Amia: Yeah, since we�ve found Griff maybe we should come up with a plan for
getting out of this country.

Joyce: Well, why don�t we do that at the bar? Griff�s back and the four of us
ought to celebrate.

Ash: Yeah, let�s do that.
