Artificial Intelligence and Robotics

This document is an assignment submission for a course on Computer Systems and Programming. It discusses the topic of the difference between artificial intelligence and robotics. It defines artificial intelligence as intelligence demonstrated by machines, as opposed to natural human intelligence. It defines robotics as a branch of engineering dealing with the design, construction, operation, and use of robots. It provides examples of each and notes that artificial intelligence acts as the "brains" of robots, while robotics enables the physical movement or "body" of robots. It concludes that AI is considered the second generation of robotics as future applications of AI will expand.

Artificial intelligence and Robotics

Artificial intelligence=
In computer science,artificial intelligence,is
intelligence demonstrated by machines,in contrast to the
natural intelligence displayed by humans.Artificial intelligence
is often used to describe computers. Artificial intelligence is
sometimes called machine intelligence as it is directly related
to machines.

For example:
Speech recognition, problem-solving, learning and
planning are some examples that relates artificial intelligence.

Robotics=
An associative branch of engineering and science that
has scope in various fields of engineering like mechanical
engineering, electronic engineering, information engineering,
computer engineering and others.
Robotics is a vast branch that deals with the
design, construction, operation, and use of robots, as well as
computer systems. It is also widely used in computer
programming.

For example=
Medical and health care robotics are examples of
such field.
