REFLECTION
Gospel – Luke 17: 5-10
The apostles asked God for the increase of their faith. This gospel is about faith as
giving your complete trust and confidence to someone. When we allow faith to work
in us, we believe that we can overcome everything had mess us. Because faith can
lead us to true happiness. Without faith things would not turn out right for us no
matter what the situation might be.
As I reflected, we are with God every day, every time and always. The world of God
was faithful is presence. To have faith in God is to align our self with Him, have a
journey with Him and grow with Him in faith that is fulfilled in love. It is truly
grateful for me for being a servant of God because his guiding and complete
affection lead me to a better person with faith in God.
I pray to God that my faith will becomes stronger and continue to trust in God as
well as in myself. Amen.
Gospel – Luke 17: 11-19
This gospel is about the ten men who had a leprosy that is healed by Jesus. But only
one of the ten lepers turned back praising God and thanked him. The gospel of Luke
gives us several songs of praise and hymns which express this experience of
gratitude and of thanksgiving. So, as Christians, we live to praise God for everything
which we receive from him. Adore him for the thing that he did such as giving our
need as well as some blessings. We must be a good Samaritan as Jesus Christ wanted
as to be belonged.
As I reflected, I must thank God for the gift or blessing that he given even though
little thing. Receive God purely in my heart through ups and down. I feel so guilty
because sometimes I neglected to thanks him on the time, he cleansed my problems
and helped me for all the challenges that I experience. But I never neglected him in
my heart and thanked him for being live a life every day.
I pray to God to teach me being a good person and bring me closer to him. Make me
more prayerful and more aware of his faithfulness. Amen.
Gospel – Luke 18: 1-8
The gospel presents two personages of real life: a judge who had no consideration
for God as well as for others, and a widow who struggles to attain her rights from
the judge. Afterwards, the judge acts justice not because he cares about the widow
women but because he selfishly understands that it is the only way to get rid of her.
This gospel gives us the words of Jesus to teach us to pray. In a phrase: ‘then He
told them a parable about the need to pray continually and never lose heart’, so as I
reflected, we should pray without losing our heart. Pray fully with all our heart, our
mind and our soul. Be a faithful one when it comes in prayer. Never ever mistreat a
prayer like a game, take it seriously because this is the instant to talk with our God.
Be close to God either because as the bible said in Philippians 4:13 ‘I can do all
things through Christ who strengthen me’, believing in Christ can lead as for a better
person. Just pray always and have a hope on him because it is said that being near
on him, we can do all things.
I pray to God to strengthen my faith through all things. Remind me every day to pray
because it is the only way to express my love on him. Amen.
Gospel – Luke 19: 1-10
This gospel talked about the story of Zacchaeus, the rich tax collector. Had grown
very wealthy by taking advantage of his position of tax collector. But for some
reason, Zacchaeus was interested in seeing and hearing Jesus. His encounter with
Jesus was life – changing because it gave him a chance to change his ways and gave
back what was wrongfully his.
As I reflected, if we are lost, God will come by calling our name and inviting us to
himself and wanting close friendship with us. He sees us in anywhere that are losses
our ways. So, if we experience this situation, we need to receive the Lord. We must
allow him to catch us so that he will clean us. Come to Jesus, confess your sin and
change it from good thing. Lastly, receive him as lord and a savior because whoever
give his life to God will be born again.
I pray to God to forgive me for all the sin or mistaken. Help me to change for what
I deed wrong and turn it into a moral one. Amen.
Gospel – Luke 20: 27-38
‘God is not God of the dead but of the living.’
The gospel is the story that told us about a man who did not believe in the
resurrection. The Sadducees did not understand the resurrection. It is not a
continuation of life on earth however, in resurrection we will be like angels or either
be spiritual beings. We are not having a human-like relationship that we had on earth.
But then, there will be love, as God is love, but not earthly love because we are
present and living for eternal life.
As I reflected, resurrection is for those who will be feel worthy and for those who
will remain loyal in despite of difficulties. We follow Jesus and live his teaching
because we believe on Him. We would be with our Lord after our earthy journey is
over already. By denying that there is no resurrection is like to deny that there is no
heaven as well as Jesus Christ in our life. So, there would be resurrection and
afterlife. We must believe this because it can strengthen our faith, and this is the
reality. Therefore, began to avoid sinful deeds then start to prepare for our own
resurrection in heaven someday.
Prayer
Thank you, lord, for your promise of eternal life. Grant me a strong resolve to be
yours until death. Amen.
