REGISTER ACCOUNT
You need to create a MECH5 account to be able to access the MECH5 cloud
diagnostics platform. Please ensure you register your MECH5 account using a
valid email address.

NEW ACCOUNT
ACCOUNT ACTIVATION
An account activation code will be sent to the email address provided during
the registration process. Simply copy and paste the code when required.

DOWNLOAD MECH5 XLINK
MECH5 XLINK is a small app that allows communication between the
diagnostics device connected to a vehicle and the MECH5 cloud.
MECH5 XLINK is available for Windows, Android and iOS devices depending on
your preference/needs.
MECH5 XLINK for Windows
Bluetooth PC / Laptop required
Perfect if you prefer to run
diagnostics from a Windows based .NET Framework V4.6 or greater plus E11/Edge
internet browser required

Windows Setup Guide
Android devices with a minimum screen
MECH5 XLINK for Android resolution of 1200 x 900 are recommended
Use the Android version of MECH5 Make sure to use up-to-date internet browser
XLINK if flexibility and portability and the latest version of Android for your device
of an Android tablet is preferred.

The VCI (Vehicle Communications Interface) should be installed in a vehicle and
paired with your device using Bluetooth or USB connection.
1 Install VCI
Plug VCI into diagnostics port of the vehicle. FIND OBD PORT
2 Switch ignition ON
Ignition should be on to power VCI and enable it for connection.
3 Pair VCI with your device via
Bluetooth
Windows 7 and 8.1 Windows 10
4 Download and install MECH5 XLINK
Use button below to download MECH5 XLINK app. Double click the
downloaded file and follow simple instructions to complete the
setup.

Launch MECH5 XLINK and follow simple “First time setup” instructions.
6 Go to MECH5

Now simply press GO TO MECH5 button and you are
ready to start diagnosing.

Set up process for Android & iOS devices is very similar to the one for PC
1 Install VCI
FIND OBD PORT
Plug VCI into diagnostics port of the vehicle.
2 Switch ignition ON
Ignition should be on to power VCI and enable it for connection.
3 (ANDROID ONLY)
Pair your VCI in in your device Bluetooth settings.
4 Install MECH5 XLINK app
Click the correct button below depending on your operating
system to download MECH5 XLINK.
Alternatively, search ‘MECH5 XLINK’ on the Google Play Store or iOS App Store.

5 Set up MECH5 XLINK app MECH5 ACCOUNT
1. Launch the MECH5 XLINK app and press the VEHICLE HEALTH CHECK button.
SETUP
A pop-up box will appear asking to enter your account credentials.
Click the ‘ok’ button.
2. Make sure all fields are filled out and then press ‘SAVE DETAILS’.

3. Press the VEHICLE HEALTH CHECK or LINK VEHICLE TO MECH5 button
4. Select your VCI and follow the on-screen instructions
