ABSTRACT
 This project proposal is intended to support the students with their studies
and help them to lessen the weight that they carried. Well one of the visible solution
is the locker. In providing lockers for every student in school it can lessen the
burdens of the students. By having a locker in school the students have the
responsibility to value their things and keeping them safe. Obviously lockers are just
not a convenient storage for important things but also it can change the life of every
student in school. Of course it needs materials like metals or steel plate, angle bar,
ruler guide, door handle, drawer lock, paint and etc. the one who will make these
lockers are it the Carpenters and Wilders designed by the Architects. This locker will
be put in the in beside the faculty room of the teachers to ensure the security of each
lockers given to the students with the keys provided. The total cost would be more
than Php 452,985 since there are total of 303 students from Grade 11 and 12 Senior
High that should be provided individually. Wherein, the total cost of the materials are
more than Php 1,495 in just a locker depending on the quality.
BODY

PROBLEM

Nowadays, students often carry far too much in their bags. A lot of students
struggles when too much of books, personal things, notebooks and many more are
been carried inside their backs that could lead some students a back pain. These
lead students to leave their books because they were tired of carrying it. One of the
many problems teachers are not okay with when a student left their books at home
because of the reason they have a lot of things to carry, some may saying the truth
but some aren’t. It also can be the reason of the students to neglect the idea of being
a responsible student with their things.

Other issues say that some of the student's problem is that their books are too
heavy for them to carry. Because of that, there are instances that they feel back
pains and sometimes when there’s a rainy weather, there is a possibility that their
books will get wet which leads to the possible reason that it might be destroyed and
may cause to affect their academic performance, for the reason that they won’t be
able to use it to study and to review their lessons.

There are also students who choose to leave their books in their homes as
they are having difficulty in carrying it. Because of this, they cannot study their
lessons and they will become irresponsible in doing their responsibility as a student
and may also lead to affect as well as their academic performance. Furthermore,
instead of being able to pass their subjects and being able to have a good grade,
there’s a big possibility that they are going to fail their subjects as well as their
grades and performance in their classes. As a student, it is required to bring books in
school, not for the purpose that they will only need to bring it for the reason that it is
required for them to bring, but also it is for them to read and to learn, enable for them
to get knowledge and to widen their experiences in learning.

SOLUTION
One of the visible solutions is the locker. Through of this it can lessen the
burdens of the students. It is also help the students avoid leaving their essentials at
home. And by having lockers in a school, it can help to reduce distractions when the
class hours starts it is better keep other things or in the locker to remove distractions
and avoid being reprimand by the teachers. It can reduce hassle since students tend
to leave their belongings in their house such as books for the reason that it is heavy
and could be a hindrance when they are commuting or walking towards the school.
But with the use of locker, students will be able to leave their belongings at school
without any hassle of bringing it every day. Every student will have the responsibility
to value their things and keeping them safe. It will also teach them to respect their
own and other people’s belongings by taking care of it and by keeping it in a safe
place. It also serves as the only personal space of students in schools so they have
their storage decorated with pictures or anything that inspires them

TECHNICAL DETAILS
Lockers are commonly looked like in dedicated cabinets, very often in large
numbers, upon making lockers this following will be used these materials:

 Steel Plate (by m) – Php 160

 Angle Bar – Php 300
 Ruler Guide – Php 150
 Door Handle – Php 85
 Drawer Lock – Php 120
  Paint – Php 680

Its thickness would be not less than 0.5mm to ensure adequate strength to the
door, body, frame and shelf.
 Base or legs
Bases or legs, where fitted, shall be 150mm high and its standard quality
 Locking
Doors shall be provided with means of fastening. For security purposes, a lock
must be required.
 Construction
All accessible sharp edges likely to cause injury shall be removed. The gap
between the door and at the top and sides shall be 2mm. Provision shall be made
for lockers side to side and back to back, as required.

Each material has their distinct advantages, but some are better than others.
Steel lockers are the traditional go-to for schools; it can last longer than the other
usual wood lockers. Given the fact that the strength of steel, lockers made from
metal are often the most secure. Metal lockers are the most popular lockers out
there, and for good reason. They’re durable, efficient, and economical. They are
incredibly secure and are great for almost every setting. They offer full security,
meaning valuables can be protected at all times. This is very convenient in an office,
gym or school environment where individuals don't always want to keep their
belongings with them.

This project will be made by the Carpenters and Wilders and especially the
Engineers, for they are the one who are appropriate to make lockers and have an
experience of making things that involves metal. Engineers' main responsibility is to
ensure the design is safe and meets all appropriate of lockers code . Lockers will be
in organized according to the section of the students, the help of the design of the
Architects. Since their expertise will be the basis of their result, these workers will be
given each labor of 3,000 in a week.
 As we made a survey about how much will it cost and when will it be done. They
said that 1 locker will only take less than 3 days, first it should consume 30 minutes
for making a door only, and doors are hard to create because there are lot of things
that need to be done. Second is making the body of the locker, you need to be
patience specially by welding on it, they said that it will consume 5-6 hours to be
made, depending on their hard work that they will make the project, since this
project will be implementing in school it would be more than a year and half. This
locker will be put in the in beside the faculty room of the teachers to ensure the
security of each lockers given to the students with the keys provided.

CONCLUSION

Therefore, implementing locker in school is really a big help for every

students. Given the fact that lockers provide students with a safe and convenient
place to store everything this project also helps to secure individual’s private things.
This not only helps eliminate the problem of carrying around heavy backpacks, but
also makes every aspect of the educational process so much more convenient. With
the help of this locker lot of students may be able to accomplish their duties as a
student a school.

Not only is it obvious that school lockers have advantages particularly with
such inexpensive and flexible lockers available, it is difficult to imagine why any
educational facility would not provide each student with its own private storage
space. Lockers support in keeping the life of the students to work composed as well
as serves as an excellent space to dump things off on the go. If it will be decided to
purchase a storage unit for school, make sure to maintain the standard and
consistency. There is no doubt why lockers are widespread around with some
universities since it has a lot of usage for an individual.
 With the uses of the materials, we should choose the best qualities for the
lockers to last longer. There will be a lot of beneficiaries since lockers could be used
for the teachers, principal and facilitators. A few understudies don't have the foggiest
idea about the genuine estimation of cash and the significance of keeping things
secure, so having storage spaces set up helps with showing the understudies how
significant these things really are. It likewise trains them regard for their own and
other's assets. Training them to regard others' property is an extraordinary
expectation to learn and adapt for any individual growing up.

When this proposal will be accepted it will surely inspire and could encourage
lot students in school to go to every day. It can lessen the burdens they carrying that
can save them from failing grade in their academic performances. They can just
leave their books and let it stays overnight. To let it more secure they will be given
keys that only for their individual locker.
