  What are the advantages of using videoconferencing technologies? What
are the disadvantages?

In the twenties century technologies are very smart and advanced but some years ago this
technology aren’t easy to use. Now a day’s people who wanted any information they go to the
Google and search everything as they wanted so as we can tell technology is much easier than
previous year. Every year this technology is updated and strong data based. Now a day we can
live this technology, whatever we have done it relates on this technology. Technology are used in
many ways, videoconferencing is one of them. For modern business this virtual technology is
musty important to all of us.

What is videoconferencing?

Videoconferencing is basically face to face communication between two or more people and it
based on online application like- zoom, Imo, WhatsApp, Facebook etc. through desktop or
laptop by using internet.

Every technology has both side, advantage and disadvantage. This videoconferencing technology
also have advantage and disadvantage.

Advantages of videoconferencing

There are some advantages of videoconferencing in given below:

1. People are used to this technology: For business meeting or conference with a client,
buyer videoconferencing helps the most. Every time meeting or conference are organized
in face to face session so that the employees are used to via videoconferencing.
2. Increase communication authenticity: Through videoconferencing we have no doubt
security and privacy problem because we all know that this process is very secured.
Using this technology, we have to communicate each other any time after so many time
we used to this videoconferencing and increased communication all over the world.
3. Anytime organized meeting: For a business meeting, conference or presentation any
time anywhere it can be conducted, so that it saves lots of time. This meeting or online
chat conducted many members so that running the meeting or chat anyone can talk or
listen. This meeting, presentation can be conducted when there is a requirement.
 4. Save time and money: As we said that through videoconferencing we have reduced time
and money because if the meeting or presentation conducted normally then group
member travel cost food cost and staying cost and others cost has been added and every
time everywhere come and go this this time also applicable but through online we have to
save and time both via this technology.

Disadvantages of videoconferencing

There is some disadvantage of videoconferencing in given below:

1. Huge Setup cost: First of all, for a company or personal use this technology it can be
very costly because for the first time use many accessories and features setup cost is
massive. Through videoconferencing normal or primary features are little expensive but
the advanced or standard features are very expensive.
2. Technical issue: After setup and run this Programme many problems faced technical
problem is one of them. Working laptop or desktop always associated technical problems
like hardware problems, software problems, network problems. This technical problem is
mostly critical and major disadvantages.
3. Time Zone Problems: It is also a terrible disadvantage because when a company or
person want to communicate with someone who is in an out of town or out of country so
there is a problem which is time zone problem. So if we communicate that person we
have to maintain his time otherwise he/she is not active or he/she not able to join the
meeting or conference. As we can have said that this is also a major disadvantage of
videoconference.

Videoconferencing makes things easier whatever it has disadvantages too but if we take positive
side and learn positive side then this technology is help us most.
  What is telepresence and what sorts of companies are best suited to use it
as a communications tool?

What is telepresence?

Telepresence refers to a set of technologies which allow a person to feel as if they were present,
to give the appearance of being present, or to have an effect, via tele robotics, at a place other
than their true location.

Companies best suited communication tools:

Communication tool can be:

 Smartphone
 Laptop
 Desktop
 Internet
 Social Network
 Zoom
 Skype
 G suite
 OneDrive
 Media Fire etc.

Smartphone: Smartphones is a communication device; this device user can download

application via play sore or app store and run the application whatever they wanted to do.

Laptop: Laptop is also a communication device and it is better than the smartphone and tablet.
You can write blog or design something laptop is better option. You can download software by
laptop and through software you can communicate with one another.

Zoom: Zoom is basically a communication software. By using this software, you can
communicate with family, friends, relatives, office colleagues and boss. You can connect by
video call or audio call so via zoom application communication tools upgraded.
Skype: Skype is also a communication tool it has lots of features you can chat you can call voice
or video you can send necessary files upload photo. You can run skype mobile tablet smartphone
laptop and desktop.

OneDrive: This features consists of notebook, office documents, upload a file from phone or
laptop and desktop. You can upload a pictures to this application. So this is also a
communication tool, you can read or write and check out when you want from your one drive
software.

G suite: People can connect G suite application through internet, it has also lots of features like:
you can mail someone, chat, send important files, live video chat and to do list. Based on this
features you can continue communication.

So these are the few tools of communication.

 What kinds of companies could benefit from using videoconferencing?

Are there any companies that might not derive any benefits from this
technology?

Many companies could benefit from using videoconferencing they are:

 Hospital
 Education
 Business Companies

Hospital: Now a day’s technology has most important part in our day to day life. Using
videoconferencing people will help all the factor, hospital or health care Is one of them. Hospital
playing a vital role for people. By using videoconferencing patent can talk and discussed about
his/her problems and the doctors or consultant ant should try to solve his/her problem. Also
doctors should take advice from the other hospital about the surgery or operation. By using video
conferencing time and money is saved. So that videoconferencing is mostly important or
benefited for the hospital.
Education: Videoconferencing helps the education sectors also both sides, inside and outside.
By using videoconferencing students, teachers and school/college/university are benefitted.
Firstly, student benefitted from the videoconferencing because they cannot go out only join the
videoconferencing and attend the class. They also give exams, assignments, presentation by this
technology. Secondly, Teachers should have benefitted in many ways like they don’t need to go
his office attending his lectures they submitted his lecture online and students should have
benefitted here. Thirdly, school/college/university is also helped because through
videoconferencing people should know about the institute as a result institute will also
benefitted.

Business Companies: Many business companies using videoconferencing to conduct their

meeting and conference. It is easier than the actual meeting or conference and it conducted very
easily. By using this technology companies can share their information to others company or
their partners. When the meeting or conference stated all of the members can join
videoconferencing and they submitted their opinion whatever anyone can stay anywhere. As we
can say that using videoconferencing business companies help the most.

So these are the companies could benefit from using videoconferencing.

Companies that might not derive any benefits from this technology:

There are also a many company who don’t need any advanced technology as well as
videoconferencing too. Small company or shop, library, food shop, shopping mall etc. These
business doesn’t need any high technology, whatever they need to grow or improve their
technology level and communicate all the customer, partners etc. Now a day these business will
provide in the country not all over the world when the business will rise then they have to help
this technology. At this present position if that company could not help they will not be
benefited.
