Character Description:

Mary Lou : the co-owner of the Noodle house. She is a PRACTICAL type of person who seeks
everything that can benefit for the whole company. She is also a serious person at most times. But when
she is with her close friends , especially with her elder twin, she becomes a jolly and hilarious
companion. A sweet person to be with. She sees the restaurant as her child and she likes to develop
strong relationships with her staff. She considers oral communication as the essential tool in
communicating with her staff and her customers. And she loves eating noodles.

Mary Ann : She is the Elder sister of Mary Lou. An exceptional leader and an extremely outgoing
person. She always focuses on the task that is being given to her. She doesn’t like to have hitches and
delays in what she does. On-Time is her motto. She is strict when it comes to business and wastes no
time dealing with unnecessary nuisances. She loves the thought of spreading the work through paper.
She always keep everyone updated through posts and announcements.

Cook : The long time partner of the Mary Sisters. He has been working with them since day 1 of
their noodle business. A cheerful person and a very boisterous person who always shows energy in what
he is doing. His soft side shows a person that’s a bit sensitive and quite fragile.

Assistant Cook : Humble and soft voiced. But he boasts a lot and he likes to show off to be
noticed by everyone. All this in the subtle manner unique to him.

Cashier : mataray ang salita. Pero magaling sya sa Math. Kaya mag mental math kahit 4 digits.

Waiter 1 : madaldal pero mabait.

Water 2 : Madaldal pero mabait din. Mag bff sila ng water 1.

Driver : madaldal na driver sya pero maraming alam. Maparaan din sya.

Security Guard : tahimik. Palagi naka shades at naka simangot.

Janitor : magaling mag linis. Yun lang. makalas din kumain.

SCENE 1

Setting : Noodle House (Successful na ung noodle house sa scene na ito. ) (Opening Scene)

Everyone is busy. Customers buying noodles and all characters are busy doing their work. Waiters
serving and taking orders. The cook is busy preparing the meals. SG at the front, janitor cleaning, cashier
taking order payments. Then the two sisters are focused on cam, side by side and then walks through
the middle of the restaurant as they are followed by the camera. At the end of the walk, they split and
do their tasks like nothing happened.

(Then suddenly, a customer caught her attention)

Mary Lou: Sir, may kailangan po kayo?

Cust 1 : uhm, ung soup nyo kasi hindi mainit eh. Pwede paayos?
Mary Lou : Okay Sir. No problem. Ako bahala dyan…

(Pan Camera)

Mary Ann : (post a note on the Bulletin Board. Show post about new rules in the kitchen and
about the service feedbacks. she then talks to the janitor politely)
“janitor’s name” paki inform na lang silang lahat about dito sa new memos na nilagay ko dito.
Janitor : (Smiles back) yes po maam.

(the cook si busy at the kitchen. Cam shows him cooking something while assistant cook helps him.

Cook : “assistant cook’s name” paki kuha nga ung mga noodles sa stock room. Sabay mon a din
ung mga seasonings.
Assistant cook : kuya, wana na po tayong seasonings.
Cook : oh my. sabihan mo si maam Mary loouuuuu( prolonged shout)

(Zoom in-out transition. Magkadugtong ung dalawa)

Mary Lou : oohhh. Sge oorder na ako ng seasonings.

(Dial’s phone)

Mary lou : Hello “driver’s name”, pwede ka umorder ng 15 kilong sibuyas, 15 kilong bawang, 10
packs ng ajinomoto, 1 box ng paminta, 1 box ng laurel, at limang barrel ng mantika. Isabay mon a din
ako ng 5 kariman, 4 na shawarma saka fresh mango from Pangasinan.
Driver : Okay maam. I got this…

(Transition. Babalik na si driver dala ung ingredients)

Driver : (to cashier) “cashier’s name” heto na ung mga order

(Whip pan)

Cashier : (cashier flips her hair in slow motion. Then mag susungit) bakit ako? Anong gagawin ko
dyan? Mukha ba akong bodega? (pusher cash register and gives change to the customer) bigay mo sya
dun sa cook.
(cook crashes through the door. Camera in continuous shot from cashier upto the cook crashing through
the door.)

Cook : Mama Mia, mi ingredients

(Cook goes out of frame and then the waiters are seen going through the door. They are followed by the
camera waiter 1 is followed by camera as he places the order)

Waiter 1 : heto na po order nyo maam. Isang chicken noodle soup and century tuna noodles

(then, waiter 2 passes in front of the camera at waist level. and is then followed by the camera. Camera
raises upto the head level and follows waiter 2 as he hands out the order)

Waiter 2 : heto na po order nyo sir. Isang pork chop noodles and beef teriyaki.

( a crashing sound cuts waiter 2 stating the order of beef teriyaki. A bowl has crashed into the ground.
Brought out by a clumsy customer. Camera then pans into the janitor. Gets a close up of the face of the
janitor)

Janitor : I got this. Let me handle this. Makikiraan. (janitor does awesome dance steps while
cleaning. Cleaning like an expert style.)

(the camera slowly moves to wider angle until the whole resto is seen. Then the security guard is seen to
appear at the left side of the frame. He should look like that he is about to fall because he is a sleep but
recovers from it because a small child hits him with a balloon and stands like nothing happened. )

(opening scene is ended. Then next scene shows the title of the video. After the title, shows hands
getting money from the cash register. Acting like a burglar. Do not show face of mary Lou. Get frontal
shot to cover face. Shaking hands. Then the cashier appears by the side then scolds her)

Cashier : Hoy!!! Anong ginagawa mo!!!!

Mary Lou : (pops out in surprise) hay ano ka ba “ cashier” . nakaka gulat ka naman. (cashier
scratches her head) mag bantay ka ditto. Mag huhulog lang ako sa bangko ah.
Cashier : sorry po maam. Sige po. Ingat po kayo…

SCENE 2

Setting : Bank

Mary Lou : (enters bank. Looking at the time and number. The queue number is at 108 and her
number is 208)(vents. Then timelpase . then it’s her turn. Sees her friend at the counter)
Mary Lou : huy friend kamusta ka na.. “ long chika” then alam mo ba na may noodle house na
ako. And alam mo, paperless system kami.
Bank teller : wow.. automated na kayo?
Mary Lou : hindi ah. Purely no paper kami pag dating sa loob. Hanap usap deal. Very
environmental friendly. Kumbaga “save the trees”
Bank Teller : (Just Laughs) hmm.. okay. (chika continues)

(show people in the background being annoyed because of the long waiting. Then kakaladkarin si mary
lou ng guard palabas pero di pa din tumitigil)
SCENE 3

Setting : Office of Resto

Mary Lou : Ate, anakita ko si “bank teller name” kanina sa bank.

Mary Ann : Talaga? Kamusta naman sya.
Mary Lou : Maganda na buhay nya pero pangitpa din sya.. joke.hahah..pero alam mo, na
kuwento ko sa kanya ung life natin. (Flash back transition)

SCENE 4

Setting : mumurahing noodle house pwesto

(there are only threeof them working.Mary Lou, Mary ann and the cook.they are all busy serving. About
3 to 5 tables only. Mary Ann and Mary Lou are both taking orders and they shout it to the cook. They
take turns intheir chores. The cook is shown cooking like a master chef “ping ping ping”. Videomontage
of about 15 to 30 seconds)

(pre closing. Mary ann and mary lou are both wiping tables and clearing up the chairs)

Mary Ann :hay naku. Nakakapagod talaga itong araw na ito noh. (wipes table)
Mary Lou : oo nga. Kahit maliit palang itong pwesto natin, ang dami nang dapat gawin.
Mary Ann : kalian kaya lalaki itong pwesto natin?
Mary Lou : Nako Ate. Dina nga tayo magkanda ugaga ngayon eh. Pag lumaki pa kaya.
Mary Ann : hmmm.. (scratch head) AHA!!!! (light Bulb Moment)

(posts a notice outside the place. Hiring for cashier. 2 interviewer)

(FOR CASHIER)(3 applicants.Cashier, Extra 1, SG)(first shot on interviewers)

Cashier : [mataray pero magaling sa math] I can manage the cash register naman po. Hands on

(interviewers in cam then asks)

Interviewers : saan kamagaling?

Extra 1 : pag tinanong, sasagot ng “uhhhmmmmmm…”

(interviewers in cam then asks)

Sg : tahimik lang naka shades (cricket sound.then back to interviewers.interviewers looking at

each other hesitant)

(interviewers in cam then asks)

Interviewer : are you willing to work with us?

Cashier : yes maam
Mary lou : (someone over the phone) ate, magkano ung 25 boxes ng noodles? 1734 pesos isa eh
Cashier : (sasagot agad) 43,350 po.
Interviewers : (looks ate each other. Amazed) You’re hired!

(scene shows resume of person being interviewed. Them shows Then zooms a bit and shows”hired”
sign)
(next interview for the cook. Shows the cook having a hard time because of the increasing orders. Whip
pans to the 3 as the interview panel. )

(3 applicants. The assistant cook, extra 2, and SG)

Assistant cook : (humble voice/tone)hello po. Ako po pala si “name” uhm magaling naman po
akomag luto…. “humble na papansin ang style ng salita nya.”
Extra 2 : ay magaling po ako magluto. (mayabang na bingi)
Interviewer : so ano mga niluluto mo?
Extra 2 : ano(pasigaw)
SG : “Kru Kru Kru”(same behavior. Naka suot pang chef)

(scene shows resume of person being interviewed. Shows the twins and says “You’re hired” Then zooms
a bit and shows”hired” sign. Hired person makes surprised faces)

(For waiter 1 and 2)

(shows video that the sisters hare having difficulty serving the customers. Then mary ann slips. Show the
video of her slipping down and vanishes below a table at the lower right part of the camera. Marylou
and other customers suddenly turns their heads to the incident. Then mary ann’s hand stretches out
above the line of the table)

(interview resumes just the same but mary Ann is wearing a neck brace)

Waiter 1 and water 2 : (they are both BFFs. both talkative and energetic)(first scene shows them
separate interview session)
Extra 3 : “Duling and tabingi kamay”
SG : (Same behavior. Naka apron)

(on cam, the twins say “ you’re hired” .separately, camera zooms in to the individual waiters. Then side
by side video is shown and at the same time, 2 hired signs are seen over the two waiters)

(after the scene, the two waiters are called in and when they see each other, they start totalk endlessly
and energetically. Facepalm ung dalawa.)

(for Driver)

(shows video na nahihirapan ung magkapatid sa commute. Whip pan to interview room)

Driver : ( blue tshirt with towel on the right shoulder. Kind personality)
Extra 4 : ( wears a helmet and white jacket)
SG : (same behavior. Wears blue tshitr and a towel)

(scene shows resume of person being interviewed. Shows the twins and says “You’re hired” Then zooms
a bit and shows”hired” sign. Hired person makes surprised faces)

(For SG.)

(A customer runs away with a bowl. The thief runs past the twins and they look surprised. The waiters
chase him but gets away. The waiters stop just before the twins)
 Extra 5 : ( malandi. Tries to attract Mary Ann)
Extra 6 : ( complete idiot look )
SG : ( wears polo for security guards)

(scene shows resume of person being interviewed. Then zooms a bit and shows”hired” sign)

(a street sweeper is sweeping beside the restaurant. Mary Lou passes him. Sees him and examines him)

Mary lou : You’re hired

Janitor : ano po?

Mary Lou : ikaw na janitor ko ah

(video montage. B-roll type. Individual characters are filmed doing their signature moves. Then wide
shot to a pose where all are seen in the frame with the twins in the middle. Sort of astig group photo
with astig poses in the end. And then when all are on the pose, the cash register opens and “kaching” is
heard)

(SCENE 5)

(scene back to the office)

Mary Ann : Hay oo nga. Ang layo na ng narrating natin ngayon. (laugh) successful na tayo.

Mary Lou : Oo. Super as in.(laughs together).

(driver knocks at the door)

Twins : ( in unison) Pasok! (high energy style voice)

Driver : uhm, maam, may sasabihin po ako

Mary Lou : nag sasalita ka na ah. Haha joke. Sige ano yun?

Driver : may Nakita po kasi ako na magandang pwesto po sa plaridel. Saktong sakto po sa kanto
talaga sya. Madaming tao saka establishments. Ito po ung leaflet nya. Binaklas ko po yan sa dun sa paskil
sa labas mismo.

( shows a plank with the leafet in it.)

Mary Ann : bakit may kahoy?

Driver. Ay maam, baka po kasi masira ung papel eh. Kaya nilagare ko na lang po.
Mary Ann : (Reads the leaflet. Then jaw drop)
Mary lou : (gets the paper then jaw drops. Driver pushes both jaws up)
Twins : OMG!!!
Mary Ann : Maganda ang lugar na ito. Kuhanin na natin ito
Mary Lou : Puntahan na natin. Baka may mauna pa
Driver : Yes Maams
(SCENE 6)

(Setting : sa isang empty rent space somewhere na malapit sa amenities.)

Driver: (dadating sa lugar ng naka sasakyan kasama sila maam nya)(all convo inside the car.
Camera sa labas ng naka bukas ung bintana.) (note. No need na pumunta sa actual site para sa filming.
Gagawa lang ng mga cut scenes na maggamit para sa mismong scene pero ung dialogue kukuhanan kung
saan appropriate)
M. lou : wow naman.. ang ganda pala dito. Saktong sakto para sa business.
M. Ann : hmm.. oo nga.. okay naman sya. Malapit sa park. Maraming tao na dumadaan and
most of all, harap ng kulungan.
Driver : meron din po ditong malapit na school and get this maam. Nasa kanto tayo ng isang
busy street na maraming pumipila.. sakto po talaga ito...

( aalis na sila after mag upas dun)

(SCENE 7)

(Balik sa office )

M. Lou : ano ba yan ate. Maghihiwalay na tayo.

M. Ann: ano ka ba. Business lang naman ito eh. Pwede pa naman tayo mag kita kapag may free
time tayoe eh, pero sa ngayon, syempre mag fofocus muna ako dun sa bago nating branch. Ang saya
diba? Natupad na ung pangarap natin na mag expand ung business..
M. Lou: hay oo nga ate.. dream come true ito para sa atin. Im happy na were together in this..

(Mag hug sila)

(Eeksena ung driver)

Driver: aww ang sweet naman nila.. tara na po maam. Lets start na the hakot...
M. Ann: sge sis. Mauna na kami ah, madami pa aayusin dun sa bagong pwesto..

( aalis na sila )

(SCENE 8)

(Papakita ung videos na inaayos ung new resto tapos si M. Ann nag mamanage sa pag aayos.)

(After, mag side by side video nung parang scene sa loob ng resto na naka focus kina M. Lou and M. Ann.
Parang sabay ung ginagawa nila and sabay din halos ung pacing nila sa video. Makikita din dun ung
difference nila sa management. )

(After ilang seconds. May lalabas na bar graph na mag papakita ng sales ng 2 store. Ung sa kay M. Lou
parang constant ung level tapos ung kay M. Ann naman tumataas ng mabilis. May music throughtout
the whole video about sa scene 8. Minimal dialogue.)
(SCENE 9)

(Over the phone.)

M. Lou nasa office and M. Ann nasa new branch

M. Lou : oh ate kamsuta naman ung branch natin dyan
M. Ann: hay naku, ang dami nang tao, nakaka tuwa nga kasi after 5 months lang eh ang dami na
nating customers dito.
M. Lou : ay wow naman ate. Ang lakas na talaga ...
M. Ann: eh ikaw naman. Kamusta ka naman dyaan sa branch natin
M. Lou: hmm. Heto ate marami pa rin sa parokyank natin ang bumabalik. (Sabay hawak sa
sikmura aaray pero di maririnig sa phone)
M. Ann: mabuti kung ganoon, sige sis. Sa susunod na lang ulit ah.. may aasikasuhin lang kami
dito.
M. Lou: okay sis. No problem.

( baba phone) so M. Lou maiiwan. Showing na naka hawak sa sikmura nya habang humihigop ng
noodles.

(SCENE 10)

(Timelapse ng calendar na luma na nilalagyan ng x bawat araw. Mga siguro 4 to 5 pages na lalagyan ng x
tapos lalagyan ng sub na “3 years later”)

(Dramatic scene. Papakita na parang nanghihina si M. Lou . Babagsak sya kasama ung noodles na hawak
nya. Tapos naka higa, lalapit si cook and ung iba pang staff. Sinusubukan syang gisingin. Fade to black
tapos si M.lou ung nasa gitna ng black tapos mawawala. topos biglang pag open ng scene, nasa hospital
na sya. Nag babantay sa kanya ung SG. Sa tabi ng kama)

(Biglang darating si M. ann. babalagbag ung pinto pero dramatic pa din dapat ung entrance nya,, sunod
si cashier, waiters and others na sisilip dun sa likod si M. Ann. Parang isa isa sisilip ung ulo.)

M. Ann : kapatid ko. Ano ang nabgyari sa iyo.. (cry) hindi ito dapat nangyari sayo. Sino ang
gumawa nito sayo!!!
M. Lou : ( disc scratch tapos back to normal atmosphere na) ano ba ate. Okay lang ako. Medyo
nahilo lang ako kanina tapos nawalan ako ng malay
M. Ann : (dramatic again) ano? Buntis ka? Sino ang ama?
M. Lou : (normal ulit )hindi . Ate naman eh . Napagod lang siguro ako dahil sa work ko

(Papasok si doctor Cal A. Wit. Short for Alcala A. Wit)

Doc Calawit : No need to worry po maam M. Ann. Shes in good condition na po. Pero may bad
news po ako sa inyo.
M. Ann: (medyo OA) ano iyon doc? Sabihin mo sa akin. Sabihin mo!
Doc Calawit : calm down po maam. Wag kayo mabibigla pero bibiglain ko na. May bato ang
kapatid nyo.
M. Ann: mary lou? Kailan ka pa gumagamit ng shabu?
Doc. : hindi po ganoon maam. Ang ibig kong sabihing bato ay Gal Stones
M. ann : ahhh.. ganun ba? Dapat nililinaw mo doc.
 M. Lou : matagal po ba ang gamutan nito doc?
Doc: hindi naman po ganoon katagal maam. Mga 2 months po makaka labas na ung bato sa
system nyo kapag maliit ung stones and you dont need to be confined.(optimistic tone)
M. Lou : narinig mo un ate, magandang balita un
Doc. : pero sa case mo need kang operahan (sarcastic tone)
M. Lou : ha? ( Hihimatayin. Sasaluhin ni SG tapos babalik sa nakatayo)
M. Ann : eh doc, saan po ba nakukuha ung ganyang stones na yan?
Doc : sa noodles
M. Ann : ha? (Himatay. Hihiga sa tabi ni m. Lou)

(SCENE 11)

(Sa office .M. Ann malungkot sya. Tapos mag isa lang.. ung porma nya is nag iisip ng malalim. Multi
shots)

(Transition papunta sa parang naiisip nya )

(Vid na paalis sya ng store and walang maiiwan)

Cashier : (kumukuha ng pera sa cash register)

Cook : (nag bubulsa ng mga spices. Nag uuwi ng kaldero)
Waiters : (natutulog kahit maraming customers)
Driver : (nag bebenta ng gas ng sasakyan. Nag pupuslit ng mga ingredients)
SG : (tulog ng naka tayo ng naka shades. Tatanggalin nya ing shades then ayun, tulog)
(Video montage na mabilis ung palitan tapos si M. Ann nasa gitna na parang nagiging parnoid na sa mga
nagyayari tapos...)

(Transition back to office)

M. Ann : ( nagulat) sino ba yan? Pasok bukas yng pinto.

Secretary( si M. Lou ang character pero iba ang suot at itsura)
Secretary : maam , naka sara po itong pinto
M. Ann : (tatayo) saglit lang (di na ipapakita un g pag bukas ng pinto)
(Wide shot ng office)

M.ann : ( uupo sa chair ng desk na malungkot ulit. Pagka upo saka papasok ung secretary)
Secretary : maam, kamusta naman po si maam M. Lou. (Naka tayo lang sa harap ng table)
M. Ann : hay nako, medyo hirap sya. Kailangan nga sya operahan eh.
Secretary : paano po iyon maam, kayo po ang kailangan mag manage ng 2 branches natin...
M. Ann : mukhang ganoon na nga ang kailangan kong gawin. Mag papa balik balik ako sa mga
stores natin...
