Copy the folder on computer and create separate report folder may be on desktop with
computer name for identification. For example, “ABC-Laptop Reports”.
Note: All the activities listed below has to performed on all machines (Desktop,
Laptops, and Servers)
Activity 1- Belarc Installation, Report collection and Uninstallation Steps:
1. Check first that the computer must be connected to internet. Start installing
BelarcAdvisorinstaller.exe file highlighted in following image.
2. Click on “I Agree” button on Belarc License Agreement window as shown below.
3. Click on “Install” button in Next window, and then on following window, click on “Yes” to let
the program update its security Definition from internet. Do not interrupt the installation
process till it finishes.
4. After installation itself the setup will create the profile of the computer and save it in tmp
folder on following location.
For 32 bit Operating system, C:\Program Files\Belarc\BelarcAdvisor\System\tmp
For 64-bit Operating system, C:\Program Files (x86)\Belarc\BelarcAdvisor\System\tmp
Go in that folder location and copy all the html files from tmp folder (as shown in
screenshot below) in Report folder.
5. In run command, type appwiz.cpl as shown below to open “Programs and Features”
window, Search for Belarc program and uninstall it as shown in screenshots below.
Activity 2 - Steps for Running Windows Genuine Script:
1. Run the “Run Windows Genuine Check.bat” file by just double clicking on it. The file is
highlighted in following screenshot.
2. Please wait till the command executes and command prompt window closes automatically.
After that a file named “Windows_Genuine_Check_Report.txt” will be generated. Cut and
paste that file in Report Folder.
Activity 3 - To check Password policy on Machines:
1. Run the “Run Password Policy Check.bat” file by just double clicking on it. The file is
highlighted in following screenshot.
2. Please wait till the command executes and command prompt window closes automatically.
After that a file named “Windows_Password_Policy_Report.txt” will be generated. Cut and
paste that file in Report Folder.
Activity 4 - Find the unauthorised Audio/Video contents on machine:
1. Go inside the “File Search Tool” and start “Everything.exe” file.
2. Choose to run by default option of Run as administration and click OK. And click on Yes for
all the windows popping afterwards to grant admin permission.
3. Let the program run and index all the files on the computer till it starts showing total
number of objects found at the left side bottom information bar.
4. Now go on Search menu bar and choose Audio option to display all the audio files.
5. Now go in File Menu and choose Export option.
6. Name the File as Audio Data and choose Save as type as CSV Files (*.csv) from drop down
menu and save the file.
7. Now go on Search menu bar and choose Video option to display all the video files.
8. Now go in File Menu and choose Export option.
9. Name the File as Video Data and choose Save as type as CSV Files (*.csv) from drop down
menu and save the file.
10. Now the most important step is to choose Exit option from File menu option to completely
terminate the program. DO NOT CLOSE THE PROGRAM BY CLICKING “X” BUTTON.
(Otherwise the program will minimize to Tray and will continue running in background)
Activity 5: To check Report Folder and Permanently Delete Contents:
1. Check the Report Folder and make sure it has total 7 files as following screenshot and
you must move or cut-paste it in our data storage.
2. Permanently delete “WG Check” folder from the machine using Shift+Delete keys and
also any other files/folder created, stored or moved to recycle bin by us or our program.
