Windcrest Autodialler Full Remote Programming Instruction

The document describes the specifications for remotely programming an autodialler system. It details: - How to enter remote programming mode by entering a RPA number within 30 seconds of the autodialler answering an incoming call. - The DTMF command sequences to program different parameters like numbers, special function bits, operating mode, contract number, lift number, call duration, and more. - How to fetch the autodialler's currently programmed parameters by sending a *01# command, which will respond with the values of all parameters in a specified format.

NEW Specifications to remotely programme the

Autodialler (V03) Last Updated 15th June 2000

The autodialler has the facility to auto-answer an incoming call, after 15-30
seconds.
Once the call has been answered, the programming mode can be instigated
by a series of instructions etc.

The programming will be by means of using DTMF from the calling telephone
or a management computer based system.

To enter into the remote programming mode, a RPA number must be entered
in the following format “*vvvv#” within a time period of 30 seconds. (v is any
digit 0 to 9).
If the RAP is incorrect the system will go in the normal auto-answer mode
after generation of the auto-answer tone again, i.e. line being connected to
the speaker box, after the emission of a short tone.

If the RAP number is correct, the system will output a Beep tone and wait for
additional command tones for a period of 30 seconds before exiting and
going in the normal auto-answer mode, i.e. line being connected to the
speaker box, after the emission of a short tone.

Exiting from the programming mode by either a command code sequence, or

no activity for 30seconds whilst in the programming mode. (Note, when
entering the remote programming mode, the call duration time period is
suspended; and re-established when existing from the programming mode).

The following configuration needs to be implemented once in the

programming mode.

*00# Terminate Programming Mode

*01# Request Report of Total Data for computer download use
*vv* Report the Content of Specific location code. i.e. if *15* is
entered, the system will produce “Beep 15 Beep 5627899 Beep” if the Phone
number of the 5th number was 5627899. All the numbers can be announced
using the LCALL VOICE in the programme.

*10#0# RE-Set all numbers to operate on CB/Hotline mode

*10#1# Set all numbers to operate on CB/Hotline mode
*11#v..v# Set 1st Number
*12#v..v# Set 2nd Number
*13#v..v# Set 3rd Number
*14#v..v# Set 4th Number
*15#v..v# Set 5th Number

*21#v..v# Set the CONT number (Set Contract No.)

*31#v# Set Lift Number to be announced
*32#v# Set Call Duration
*33#1# For Pulse Dialling
*33#0# For Tone (DTMF) Dialling
*34#1# For Instant Triggering
*34#0# For 3 Second Delayed Triggering
*35#1# For Identifying the unit automatically on the phone line
*35#0# No automatic identification on phone line
*36#1# Set to AutoJump to the next number if call not confirmed
*36#0# Non AutoJump

*41#v# For setting/resetting SP Bit 1

*42#v# For setting/resetting SP Bit 2
*43#v# For setting/resetting SP Bit 3
*44#v# For setting/resetting SP Bit 4
*45#v# For setting/resetting SP Bit 5

An incorrect RPA number should result in the person being ejected out of the
programming mode; after a long tone and into the normal incoming call mode
I.e. when he terminates an incorrect RPAN with a # or if he times out as no
terminator has been detected say 15 seconds or so.

If an incorrect command is entered for any reason, which must include timing
out for not completing the command say 15 seconds or so, the system should
respond by means of long tone. Note: all other tones must be relatively
shorter than this long tone. (Use the DTMF chip tone generation facility or if
you have too, use the speech synthesis chip tone facility). If an incorrect entry
is made, the system must not eject the user from the programming mode.

To fetch programmed parameters from the autodialler system send *01#

command to the autodialler. This will be immediately responded by a string of
continuous data which consists of all programmed parameters. The format is
as shown below:

Command: *01#
st
Response: *11#vvv…vvv# (1 number)
nd
*12#vvv…vvv# (2 number)
*13#vvv…vvv# (3rd number)

Updated version - Remotely Programming the
Autodialler System
The autodialler has the facility of auto-answering an incoming call, after 15-20
seconds. As soon as the autodialler answers the call it outputs a DTMF tone
‘*’ on the phone line (if the call was automatically answered). Once the tone is
received one can enter the remote programming mode by sending * v v v v #,
where v v v v is the RPA (Remote Programming Access number). The RPA
numbers must be entered in within a period of 30 seconds.

The autodialler has various programming parameters, each of them is

explained below:

Parameter Description
st st
1 Number 1 number dialled by autodialler
2nd Number 2nd number dialled by autodialler
3rd Number 3rd number dialled by autodialler
4th Number 4th number dialled by autodialler
5th Number 5th number or C/S number for automatic testing
SP Bit 1 Special Function Bit 1
SP Bit 2 Special Function Bit 2
SP Bit 3 Special Function Bit 3
SP Bi 4 Special Function Bit 4
SP Bit 5 Special Function Bit 5
CB/Hot Line Mode Special mode of operation
CONT No. Lift Contract Number
Lift No. Lift Number
Call Duration Call duration period
Dialling Mode Pulse/Tone Dialling
Trigger Delay Instant or 3 sec. Alarm Push delay
Voice ID Identify lift location by voiced ID
Auto Jump Automatic Jump to next number

All the above mentioned parameters can be remotely programmed by

following a DTMF tone sequence. The following table explains the DTMF
sequence to program each of the above mentioned parameters.
