Course Description
Introduction to economic analysis applied to
engineering; concepts of the time value of money
and equivalence; basic economy study methods;
decisions under certainty; decisions recognizing
risk; and decisions admitting uncertainty;
overview of feasibility study preparation.
Course Objectives
After completing this course, the student must be
able to:
1. Understand the theory behind engineering
economy applied in the engineering industry
2. Develop and apply skills in evaluating
established alternatives
3. Create a pre-feasibility study and do cost
estimation

Class policies
a. Anyone who misses a requirement will be marked INC
until the student complies with the missed submission.
b. Read and understand each section properly and follow
instructions diligently. Ask questions or clarifications in
discussion forums or group chat to minimize or avoid
confusion.
c. There will be NO FAILED grade to be given to any student
unless the student fails to comply to an INC mark.
