THE INTERNET

Objective:
At the end of Module 1 you should be able to:
1. compare and contrast the nuances of varied online platforms, sites and
content to best address situational challenges.

Perceive Ideas
Let’s talk about veggies. What’s your favorite vegetable? Choose one and search
its nutrient value. Fill in the results of your research in the box below.

Because one of the uses of Internet is ‘communication’ let’s try one of them. Are
you using a beauty product? Think of anything; lotions, lip gloss, face powder, or
exfoliator. The task is to create a blog (a review) of the beauty product you often use
and try to convince the readers to buy or not to buy the product.

Guidelines:
* The Product Review should be honest based on your experience using it
* The Fonts to be used are: Title: IMPACT 14 & Body: Arial Narrow 12
* The paper size is Letter (8.5x11)
* The margin is normal
* Attach actual images from unboxing, using and showing results.

*Submit the Review in gmail to (olipasada@gmail.com) with a subject “PRODUCT


REVIEW – Last Name, First Name, Middle Initial”.

* I do not encourage you to go out and buy a product to be used in this activity. Try
finding a product available at home. Your safety is our number 1 priority.

Do you really understand Internet? In this phase, you’ll be doing another
activity. Search two different headlines from the Internet; one LEGIT HEADLINE and
another one for a FAKE HEADLINE. After doing so, differentiate the two using the
table below.

LEGIT FAKE

*Submit the screenshot or image of the headline in our Group Messenger Chat box.
Send the LEGIT HEADLINE first to be followed by the FAKE HEADLINE.
