1. What is Word Processing?

Word Processing refers to the act of using a computer to

create, edit, save and print documents.

2. Write about word processor.

The software that help us to type the matter on the a

computer is known as a Word processor. The Word

Processor enable us to create and edit document.

3. Word Processor saves the document in the hard disk of

the computer or CD and allows us to print the document

whenever required.

4. MS-Word is an example of Word processor.


5. Write all components of Word Window.

6. To close MS-Word click the X (close button) on the title

bar.

7. The short cut key to Save a Word document is Ctrl+S.

8. What means formatting?


Formatting a document means to arrange and to beautify it.

Formatting options do not change the content of the document

but it changes the way the content is presented.

9. What do you understand by Editing?

Editing a document means to modify a document. Editing

options change the content of the document. It includes Cut

and Paste , Copy and Paste , replace text etc.

10. Format Painter (button )option is used to copy formatting

from one place and put it in another place.


11. Draw the given buttons.

Superscript button

12. Super script and subscript buttons are present in Home tab,

Font group.

13. To convert a script to subscript, select the text and press

subscript button

14. To convert a script to superscript, select the text and press

superscript button.

15. Text Effects button help us to apply a visual effect to the

selected text, such as shadow, glow or reflection.


16. Text Effects button is present under Font group in Home

tab.

17. Explain Header and Footer.

Header of a document is some special text written on top of

every page.

Footer of a document is some special text written at bottom of

every page.

18. We can insert Header and Footer in a document from

Insert tab.
