“MOBILE PHONE “
The modern age is an era of communication. The latest means of communication have
converted the whole world into a global village. With the initiation of the mobile phone,
distances have become meaningless. It has ensured the immediate link between cities,
countries and continents, around the clock, without any delay. A few years ago, a mobile phone
was merely a status symbol but, now, it has become part and parcel of our life. It is highly
convenient and useful for our social, political and economic activities.

It was at the end of the 20th century that mobile or cellular phone was made by
Motorola. Cooper was the first scientist who invented the first handheld cellular mobile phone
in 1973 and led the team that developed it and brought it to market in 1983. Earlier mobile
phones used to be quite expensive. In the beginning, it was used only for official and business
work. Businessmen exchange messages or communicate with each other to buy and sell their
products. Scientists can exchange information and knowledge readily to promote their work.
Government and military offices can exchange useful messages to get and give help to each
other.

Now-a-days, mobile phone has become so cheap that almost all men have at least one
mobile.  80 out of 100 people in the world use mobile phones. Without mobile phones, it
becomes difficult to live even for a day. Mobile phones is an essential tool for everyone. it
seems that We Cannot live without mobile phones. The educated and the uneducated, the kids,
youth and even old people have mobile phones. Mobile Phones have become part and parcel of
human life. It is a fact that mobile phone has become an important part of our daily life. Mobile
phones play an important role in our daily routine. No doubt, it is a source of communication
and with many other advantages yet there has been many questions about its use and misuse.

The mobile phones have revolutionized life. They have proved to be very useful and
beneficial. They ensure quick communication. They are performing wonders in the field of
business, culture, trade and commerce. People can contact each other whenever they want and
wherever they are in dangerous areas or miles away from us.

The main benefit of using a mobile phone is that they are used as the mode of
communication between individuals which is cheap and very easy to use. Through this we can
contact our friends, family members, or colleagues at any time just by pressing some keys on
mobile. The people can contact their fellow person with voice calls, text messages, recorded
calls, WhatsApp, etc. it gives various methods of communicating with each other.

The other major advantage of using mobile phones is they can be used in acquiring
information, knowledge and can be used in benefiting our self in education. Nowadays many
schools, colleges, and education institutions are offering online education. These education
institutions also provide their student's certificates, degrees, diplomas after successful
completion of course.

Today’s generation cell phones are not just for calling each other or texting (SMS) each
other. It is beneficial for other activities like watching movies, listening to songs, playing games,
etc. They spend maximum time in using social media where one can share their thoughts,
opinions, pictures, and images. Some famous social networking sites are Facebook, Twitter,
Instagram, etc.

These Devices consists of high definition front and back camera which is commonly used to
take pictures, videos, and selfies which can be saved in mobile phone.

Almost every businessman is connected to the internet via mobile phone they are promoting
their products and services online. They are connected to social sharing websites, job sites
where they can post their requirements and hire people for their business.

One of the other main advantages of the mobile phone is that they are used in security
purpose. Nowadays people install a camera in their house and offices and can be tracked and
viewed live on mobile phones.

Cell phones are capable of transferring data from one device to another free of cost using
third party software like Xender, Shareit, etc. These devices are capable of transferring data
from mobile to mobile or mobile to laptop and information is saved almost permanently
without damaging.

According to me, this is the most important advantage of a mobile phone as it enables us to
purchase goods online with just a few clicks. Using online banking we can access our complete
reports with statements online without visiting the bank.

Beside the advantages of the mobile phone there are the disadvantages of the mobile phone
also. Mobile phone causes the several health problems. Prolonged exposure to mobile phones
stresses our eyes, brain, and other organs resulting in a wide variety of diseases. Staring at the
screen for a long time causes problems with eye light, tension, and headaches, as well as
sleepiness and dizziness. Using headphones and headset for long hours while listening to songs
and watching movies can damage your listening potential.

Mobile phones are an obvious cause of time-wastage. Usually, people are seen busy with
playing games, listening music, using the internet, sending messages and chatting for hours on
cell phones, which is not good for students. Mobile phones have affected adversely our youth.
The young students instead of paying heed to their studies fall victim to the charms of mobile
phones and waste their time in using social media app such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
and You Tube etc.
 The term cybercrime is a well-known term to everybody this is done using the internet.
Hacker stolen their all-important information and data such as your passwords and credit, debit
card details. And due to this it can harm you.

User privacy is compromised by the use of mobile phones for various purposes. Today
anyone can easily find information like where you live, who your friends and family are, what
your business is, where your home is and so on. By browsing easily through your social media
account.

Here in the above, we have discussed advantages and disadvantages of mobile phones and
cell phones but I personally feel if these devices such as mobile, laptop, and computer are used
with proper responsibility the chances of them to harm us get negligible

These devices are designed and manufactured for human benefit but overuse of anything
can lead to negative reactions. These devices can have a negative impact on our mental health
as well as our society. ‫ ۔‬Students and young children should be more careful with these devices
because they are very good in diverting the human brain from their basic goals.

Last thing to understand they are developed for our good and to make our working style
more comfortable and quicker when used with a great sense of responsibility.
