2.0 SCOPE
The Scope of work is to the method of storage, handling and Installation of fire alarm systemas per

4.16 Tester
5.0 MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS
5.1 Fire Alarm system Cable, 1.5 & 2.5 sq mm/2 cores.
5.2 Fire Alarm accessories including fixing clips, glands and shrouds.
5.3 Fire Alarm system control panel.
5.4 Field devices such as Control Panel, Fire Alarm Devices and accessories.
6.0 RESPONSIBILITY
6.1 Project Manager shall be responsible for overall project execution, he will coordinate with
client and head office, progress monitoring, attending review meeting, resource management,
overall he will be responsible for timely completion of project in accordance to all contractual
requirements.
6.2 Project Engineer shall be responsible for co-ordination and monitoring construction activities
and construction groups and ensure that work is done as per specification and approved
drawings and all safety measures are implemented. Allocation of manpower and machineries in
consultation with construction manager
Achieving target progress, backlog if any, he will consult with construction manager for its
recovery action plan.
Monitoring whether work is going on as per approved method
statement/drawing/specification etc.
Monitoring lines, levels as per approved drawing from authorities.
Monitoring timely materials supply at construction location.
Raising Inspection request and other necessary inspection and test records and forward to
QA/QC Engineer for further process.
6.3 Site Engineer:
Preparing daily progress repot / site report
Engagement of manpower and machineries in work as required.
Verifying line, level etc.
Supervising every individual activity.
Initiating for Inspection requests and other necessary inspecting records.
6.4 Surveyor
Shall be responsible for checking & setting out alignments, levels etc.
Preparation of Survey Records.
6.5 Safety Officer shall be responsible for monitoring and implementation of HSE requirements,
daily checking of work permit, supervising whether each worker are using necessary PPE.

Supervising whether each worker is working in safe manner following applicable safety rules
and regulations.
6.6 QA/QC Engineer:
Monitoring whether the activities are in accordance to approved method statement / IFC
drawing /specification.
Raising and closing internal NCR if any.
Documentation in accordance to approved PQP / ITP.
Coordination & liaising of inspection of work & coordination of consultant.
7.0 COMMISSIONING PROCEDURE
Check the cable size and types are as per the approved Material submittal.
Check the cable rating as per specification
Check area is clean and safe after completion of the cable installation work
Check all the cables, termination accessories make and type are as per the project approved
material submittal.
Check if cabling is installed as per approved shop drawings
Check cables laid above the false ceiling area are supported properly.
Termination of all the cables are done properly using suitable ferrules, sockets and terminal
blocks.
Ensure that no power is applied to the fire alarm panel and that all wiring is properly
connected.
Use the grounding plug in the control panel for all measurements to ground. Each circuit
must test free of all grounds and extraneous voltages.
Use the volt/ohm meter to check each circuit type
Check Continuity of each loop separately
At the control panel, locate wires from each initiating device or indicating appliance circuit.
Check all other system wiring to verify that each circuit is free of grounds and extraneous
voltages.
Check the tag identification marks are provided in all the cables for future ref and safety
purpose.
Check cable connection to the F.A.C.P. battery.
Check continuity from one end of cabel to any random device
Check display on network.

9.0 SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
9.1 Safety Inductions shall be given to all new coming Staff and workers prior to workspace entry.
9.2 Appropriate work permit to be obtained prior to start of work.
9.3 Toolbox talks to be conducted prior to commencement of works.
9.4 All necessary barriers, signage lighting etc. to be provided and maintained.
9.5 Appropriate PPE to be worn / used.
9.6 Close supervision on safety requirement shall be provided.
9.7 Adequate temporary crossing shall be provided across trenches etc. during the site works.
9.8 All ladders / scaffolds shall be inspected after installation and prior to work.
9.9 All power tools shall be inspected prior to use.
9.10 All electrical connections shall be inspected in intervals as specified in HSE plans.
9.11 Permit to Work systems are implemented.
9.12 Risk assessment submitted with method statement for final approval

9.14 Adequate lighting is provided in night shift
9.15 Cordon off the area by adequate barricading
9.16 Continuous supervision are provided
9.17 Proper hand washing and no eating & drinking during the work

work
