What is goal setting to you? When you set goals, are you used to seeing them disappear in the rear-view
mirror? I’m willing to bet you’ve set a goal or two in your life. But did you see them through? Are you
setting goals effectively? Will your goals transform your life in the ways you want and help you unlock
something extraordinary?

If you are serious about manifesting your goal, you need to have a plan. Attracting your dream takes time,
and without a plan it is easy to get distracted and lose focus. There is tremendous power in goal setting. It
helps you plan where you want to go in life and keeps you motivated to turn your vision of your future into
a reality. Goal setting enables you to be proactive about what you want to achieve.
People who write down their goals are 42% more likely to achieve them than people who don’t write them
down.

What do you want to have accomplished one year from now? What are the goals that you want to be able
to say, “Wow, I did it”? Write your goals in the present tense (Ex: I have lost 40 pounds). Writing down
these goals should trigger a feeling of excitement & profound passion within you.

And state why your goal is important and how it will make you feel. What will that mean for your life,
yourself, your loved ones? Write a paragraph for each goal explaining why you will absolutely achieve this
goal within the next 12 months. Take as much space as you need. This should take you about 15-20
minutes.

The next step is to make sure your goals are clear & reachable (SMART goals). Each other should be:

Specific : First thing is to specify the goal by making it quantifiable. Without specificity, the goal is a lot
more like a wish than an actual goal.

Measurable : Your goal must be measurable so you can track progress, stay motivated, and recognize
when you have achieved it.

Achievable : Setting a specific and measurable goal is all well and good, but if it's not realistic then it’s a
waste of time and will only lead to disappointment.

Relevant: This step is about ensuring that your goal really matters to you, and that it aligns with other
relevant goals.

Time-bound: The reason why your goal should be time-bound is relatively self-explanatory, because every
goal needs a target date; a deadline to work towards.

Tip 1: Frame your goals positively. Ex: If you wish to improve your nutrition , write “I will eat at least 2 servings of vegetables everyday” instead of “I will
cut out processed foods” The first one is motivating and focuses on what you can ADD ; the second one is demotivating and can seem daunting .
Tip 2: Share your goals with at least one important person in your life. Research shows that sharing your goals in life with others is an important success
principle: In speaking your goal out loud, conversations with others may help you clarify and sharpen your goal, and makes the goal more real & no longer just a
note in a journal
