Activity Taken From The Book Ethics, Foundation of Moral Valuation P. 132

The document describes an activity from an ethics textbook about organ trafficking and human needs. It involves examining one's feelings about a scenario where a woman plans to sell her kidney to her husband. Students are asked to consider how factors like their physical, social, interpersonal, and historical experiences shape their views on this issue. They must also explain their perspective in a way that shows more developed moral reasoning beyond just self-interest. The document provides assessment questions about moral personhood, agency, emotions in decision-making, and social responsibility. It concludes with an assignment for students to work in groups to design an ideal society through brainstorming, diagramming, and presenting their ideas.
