In this tutorial you will learn how to configure your ABAP development environment and create your
first ABAP project.
 
Step 1: Download, Install and launch the Eclipse IDE
Step 2: Install the ABAP Development Tools for SAP NetWeaver (ADT)
Step 3: Switch perspective
Switch to the ABAP perspective by clicking the Open Perspective button or using the menu: Window >
Open Perspective > Other.

Step 4: Close the Welcome page


Step 5: Select the ABAP perspective
Step 6: Familiarize yourself with the tooling layout
Step 7: New ABAP Project
Step 8: Select Connection Settings
Step 9: Enter your log on data
Step 10: Project created
