Family Planning for Future Parents

Population education and family planning are important for three key reasons: 1) Without proper family planning, overpopulation can lead to increased poverty in society. 2) Teenage pregnancy is common due to a lack of family planning education and resources. 3) As someone who wants to get married and start a family, it is important to be psychologically and emotionally prepared to take on such a lifelong responsibility, which requires gaining proper knowledge through population education and family planning.

WORKSHEET 15

POPULATION EDUCATION AND FAMILY PLANNING

Instruction: Answer the question below in essay form of not more than 300 words.
Question: Looking forward to marriage and raising a family, why is population education and family
planning important for you personally. Explain your answer briefly but thoroughly.

The absence of family planning, which leads to overpopulation, can be the source of poverty
in a society. Teenage pregnancy is quite common, and one of the reasons for this is a lack of
appropriate family planning and population education. As someone who plans to marry and start a
family, I want to think about a lot of things before making a decision. Youth, in my opinion, requires
some direction because the majority of them are lost on their way. Personally, I have acquaintances
who were compelled to start a family due to early pregnancy, and they regret that their education
was harmed as a result. I understand that I will be confronted with marriage and the duty of raising a
family, but I must ensure that I am psychologically and emotionally prepared for these
responsibilities. Because this will be a lifelong responsibility, it is a decision that demands good
knowledge.
