5.3.1 Piercer/Pipette Adjustment

5.3.2 Optical Axis Adjustment(rough)

Optical Axis Adjustment(rough) is used to perform FCM mechanical


adjustments using an ocsilloscope. Duration is 1 minute.
This program operates the FCM syringe at a lower than normal speed to
allow adequate time for mechanical adjustments of the FCM
components.
Pour 1mL of latex to WBC reaction chamber and press the Start switch to
inject the latex dilution into the Flowcell. The sampling data will clear
every sequence. Refer to Section 4 for adjustments.

5.3.3 Optical Axis Adjustment(fine)

Optical Axis Adjustment(fine) program is used to verify the FCM


alignment using latex particles. Duration is 10 seconds.
This program operates the FCM syringe at normal analysis speed for the
collection of latex resuts for the verification of the FCM alignment.
Pour 1mL of latex to WBC reaction chamber and press the Start switch to
inject the latex dilution into the Flowcell.the sequence will start by
pressing start button. The sampling data will clear every sequence.

5 Create Blank Database.exe


Create Blank Database.exe is used in order to initialize XS IPU
Database.Log in with Sysmex user to Windows OS as the administrative
right is needed to run this application.Run this application when IPU is
not running.
Once this application is initialized, all the data such as stored data and
QC data will be deleted. Therefore, run this application carefully.
IPU database is restructured and formatted by running.

XS IPU database will be initialized, and after initialization, the dialog is
automatically closed.

6 DBIndex.exe
DBIndex.exe is used in order to renew index key of IPU database for
Ver.00-06 and lower.Log in with Sysmex user to Windows as the
administrative right is needed to run this application.
To improve the speed of processing, index key of IPU database is
changed while upgrading from Ver.00-06 to Ver.00-07.
When the IPU database used on Ver.00-06 or lower is moved to
Ver.00-07, and higher, renewing index key executed when updating
versions is not executed. By using this application, index key of database
used on Ver.00-06 and lower is renewed for using on Version.00-07 or
higher.
