Admin Management Portal Service
To install Admin Management Portal Service, click on Application Setup from the COSEC Application setup folder.
FIPS Algorithm Policy Check
To Install COSEC Admin Management Portal Service; the FIPS Algorithm Flag must be disabled. If the FIPS
Algorithm flag is enabled then following pop up will appear while installing the setup.
To disable FIPS Algorithm policy go to Registry Editor by typing regedit from the start menu of your computer.
Then go to the path:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\FipsAlgorithmPolicy.
Now you can disable the FIPS Algorithm policy. Then Reset IIS Server and install the setup.
Click on Install and select Custom Installation.

Select COSEC Admin Management Portal Service checkbox. Click Next to install the setup.
The Confirmation window appears. Click Install to proceed with the Installation.
The Installation process is shown as below.

Admin Portal Service will be active and running only if Master service is running.
After the successful installation of Admin Portal Service, “Installation Complete” window will be shown as below.
Then click to Exit the window.
After the Installation, you can start the COSEC Admin Service Application by browsing the folder from All
Programs> Matrix> COSEC > COSEC Admin Service.
When the Admin Service is started, an icon will be visible in the system tray as shown below. Then Right click on
icon to configure the settings and start the service.

If the service entry is not found on general settings table then service will self-register itself.
You can start/stop the service through the tray app.
You can store the Admin portal service settings. see “Settings”
You can upgrade the version of Admin Portal service.
You can refresh status of the service.
You can view service assembly details about the product.
Click on Exit to close the Service Manager Tray window.

Settings
IP Address: If the PC is having more than 1 Network interface cards, then you can select the IP address from drop
down list at which the service is to be started.
The IP Address of the interface type whose status is 'up' will be set as default value for all the service tray.
If none of the Network adapters are 'up' and if the services are in running state then they will still continue
running but the IP Address of the running service will get updated to 127.0.0.1 - Localhost.
You have to manually enable any of the Network adapters available on PC to see values in dropdown for
selection.
As the Windows10 PC boots up fast, so services will check and retry for the availability of assigned IP
address before finally moving to 127.0.0.1
If more than 1 interface type is up then the first interface and its IP Address fetched to be up will be
assigned to all the services on service startup after installation.
If the PC is on DHCP mode then on IP Address change for the PC the entry against every service will be
updated with the newly obtained IP Address.
Refresh IP List: The list of all network adapters whose status is 'up' will be updated in the list.
Master Service Address: Enter the IP Address or URL of the Master Service.
On Changing / Updating the Master Service Address, connection must be tested with the master service on click of
Test Connection button. Eg: localhost:15001
Click Test Connection to test the connection with Master service.

Port Number: This is the port number of the computer at which the master service is accessible.
Secured Port Number: This is the port number of the computer at which the master service is accessible on SSL
mode.
Web Access Port Number: This is the port number of the computer at which COSEC Web can access the
COSEC Admin Service.
Secured Web Access Port Number: This is the port number of the computer at which COSEC Web can access
the COSEC Admin Service on SSL mode.
Specify the Request time-out duration in seconds.
Specify the Response time-out duration in seconds.
Click Save button to save the settings.
Service Tray in multiple User login
When you log into your computer with different user other than Administrator who has installed COSEC; then
service tray will be launched in the new user login as well but tray tooltip messages and balloon messages will not
be shown to new user.
This new user will have rights to stop service, start service and make changes to the settings of service.
When you Exit from the Service Tray App manually then tray will not be launched for that particular windows login
session. When you logs in to windows session again, the service tray will be launched again.
