This 3-paragraph summary provides the key details about a laboratory exercise on operating systems: 1) Students are asked to retrieve details about the operating system, RAM, processor, and display quality of a computing device they have access to. They also answer questions about how the OS affects performance and which component they would prioritize upgrading. 2) Questions include describing their device's performance, how the OS impacts it, applications that affect speed, the relationship between processor and display quality, and whether to upgrade the OS, RAM, or processor first. 3) Students also research another OS, describing its name, latest version, developer, architecture, and what makes it unique, citing any references used.
