1. Create Plan Area
Right Click on Data Area and select Create Plan Area Fill User label and select Source and
Destination BSC and Select Ok.

Next Window will be prompted for selecting confirmation of Subnet ID select Yes.
After Selecting Yes It will Create Plan Area.

1.1 Export BSC Radio and Ground Data form Live Data Area
Select Source and Destination BSC
Right Click and Select Export.

In Data Types select GSM Radio and Uni_Ground and click next

Don’t select merge to one file. Press Next

In Export Path give the path of local directory where you want the files need to be saved.

2. Site Migration Sheet
2.1 BSC Sheet will be like

For Distributed EMS path will be \netnumen\icm\ums-

1. In order to create the site transfer files, right click on the new plan area, select the
“transfer site”

2. Open “GU-OMMR offline” moved off station page, enter
“GSM_SiteTransferTemplate_Plan.xlsx”, ground and radio of source destination BSC
data and click create file:

Import Transfer site Template in First Column.
Import Source BSC Ground and Radio Excel Sheets in Second Column.
Import Destination BSC Ground and Radio Excel Sheets in Third Column.

Fill the sheets of “IP Path Group”,”SCTP Config(Abis)”,”IP Bearer(Abis),only for the
destination BSC, as shown below in the figures

4. Import Uni Office Plan
The new “Uni Office” file for the destination BSC should be imported to the new Plan Area:
5. Import the files generated in Step 2
Import the files generated in Step 2 i.e.., the file generated when Transfer cell and
Neighbor cell data in the exact same order.

6. Deletion Script for Source BSC
After the import, we need to delete the site from the source BSC . First right click on the
New Plan area, select “Transfer Site”, and in the “GU-OMMR offline tab” select “Delete
Source RNC/BSC Ground Data”. There add the same “GSM_SiteTransferTemplate_Plan
file as in step 2, and below add the source BSC Uni Office file, and click create file.

The system will create delete file, in the folder (\netnumen\ems\ums-
client\works\datas\icm\transferSite) as below:

Then, import the new “Delete_Source_Office” file as below:

7. ICM Check,Conflict, Validity and Activation procedure
After all the files are imported it is necessary to run the check

Run the “conflict” and “validity” check and submit:

If everything runs smoothly it is necessary to run the activation task:

After the activation window is opened it is necessary to run the “create script”, “download” and
“activate” of the task consequently, first for the source BSC and then for the destination BSC:
After completion of everything once verify BSC Base parameters for at least few sites and
neighbor addition for confirmation.
