Personal Introduction
I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to apply for the Chinese Government
Scholarship program and write few words about myself. I am Aftab Ahmad graduated in
Mathematics from Abdul Wali Khan University (AWKUM) Mardan, Pakistan. my parents
work hard who got through the hardships and stuck together throughout the years to raise me
and my five siblings even though we had a low-income. Due to all efforts of my parents, my
brothers are studying in university level while my sister is studying in a college. Because of
this, education is highly valued in my family and much was expected from me throughout our
education years. I love my environment and love my family farms. My family taught me how
to be successful in life and increase our farms. So, I studied really hard and got outstanding
grades in my school years. I was competitive and liked achieving my goals which made me
proud of myself. I use this opportunity to elucidate my career objectives and give in
quintessence of my educational background.
Academic Background
From Beginning of my academic career, Mathematics is my interest because of my enquiring
mind. The field of mathematics which attracted my mind is Applied Mathematics. For the
first time I come to know about Applied Mathematics when I was in 8th semester of my
college. While studying that chapter Applied Mathematics got my interest. I have an
admirable scholastic record right through school and high school. I have done Pre-
engineering in Post-Graduate College Mardan education with first division and full fee
concession scholarship award. Now after the Higher Senior School I got admission in BS
(Bachelor of Science 16 Year education) degree in Mathematics one of the top ranked
universities in KPK Province of Pakistan Abdul Wali Khan University (AWKUM) and got
first position in my class. I secured CGPA of 3.46 out of 4.00 and I got silver Medal and
Prime Minister Laptop in my Class. I was an active and enthusiastic student among others
during my undergraduate studies. I actively participated in many conferences, seminars,
poster presentations and workshops. Beside curricular activities, I was very often involved in
co-curricular activities as well.
Currently, I am teaching in Iqra Public school and college (well Known College) as a
Mathematics Subject specialist; my job responsibilities include directly and supervising
students along with the planning and the proper training to achieve the milestone with
outstanding performances.
STUDY PLAN IN CHINA:
I would like to apply for the MS/M.Phil’s Degree in the subject of Applied
Mathematics from China Because I want to work under prestigious supervision which I can
get form such as country like China to improve my understanding and rhythm of work with
proper guideline in the chosen course. My aim is to work in the field related to Applied
Mathematics. Therefore, I would like to gain deeper theoretical and practical knowledge to
start and manage innovative publishing of papers and researches, and I would be able to take
part in maximizing my country’s proud to fame its name.
I expect that this MS/MPhil’s Program will provide me chance to get about hard and tricky
things managing properly and will affiliate me dedicatedly to knowledge, which will versatile
me in the art of understanding Mathematical issue with reasonable solution. I hope that I can
gain more experience in dealing Chinese culture, peoples, systems, demand that will be of a
great help to me for my future.
REASON TO STUDY IN CHINA:
Now the question arises, “Why China?” Reading the books, watching the news, analyzing
and observing the people of China, I am really impressed by the way these individuals have
proved themselves to be dedicated to their work and with true efforts they have set China as a
successful example for other third world or developed countries. The fast growing economy,
technological advancement and the global ranking education institutes of China with high
reputation makes a great aspiration to the students and professionals for the better career
perspectives. Thus such kind of positivity has boosted my confidence further and I am highly
satisfied with the decision I have taken. Moreover, China diverse cultural norms and values,
the famous gentle hospitality of its people and Pakistan-China all weather friendly relations
since past to promote bilateral trade, acceptance and peace to both sides in great clarity make
me feel China as my second homeland; also my family fully supports my choice for China
being my preference for graduate studies. All these reasons put together make China an ideal
place for me to do my Master degree. Concluding it, with high hopes I believe this
application will receive your favorable consideration and I will be happy to provide my

WHY I DO CHOOSE TO STUDN IN THE HARBIN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY:
The Harbin Institute of Technology is one of the top Universities in China and its
Department of Mathematics is one of the most highly ranked departments as well. I found
impressive profiles of the Harbin Institute of Technology Professors with remarkable
research projects specifically research work of Xing Tao Wang. Is really admirable for me
and I think his supervision can improve my research abilities. Studying in MS Program is
always my dream. I choose this program for its prestigious Professors, stimulating
atmosphere and beautiful sceneries.
Significance of Study:
This research will beneficial for Applied Mathematics explores the interplay between
mathematics and the applied disciplines. It publishes papers that advance the understanding
of physical processes, or develop new mathematical techniques applicable to physical and
real-world problems.
My plan after MS:
After MS I plan to find a job as a professor or researcher in Pakistan. I have lived in Mardan
for last 24 years. There are many universities and colleges in Mardan, so that it might be easy
for me to find position there. My advisor Prof. Dr. Rahman Ullah Head of Department
(HOD) Women University of Sawabi and Prof. Dr. Nasir Khan Head of Department (HOD)
Sarhad University Peshawer appreciate me very much and encourage me to start Master
study in China from Harbin Institute of Technology. In recent year Government of Pakistan
has paid more and more attention to Higher Education and research project, so the condition
for research and teaching in universities becoming more impressive. Compare to highly
competitive and almost saturated job market in China, there are more opportunities for the
younger generation in Pakistan. I believe my Chinese education background and in
connection in Pakistan would make me more competent to find a job as a professor in
university or institute in Pakistan. I hope one day I could set up my own institution.
