A Semi-detailed Lesson Plan in MAPEH 8 (Music)

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to do the following:
A. Define carinosa
B. Appreciate the importance of Carinosa Dance;
C. Perform the eight figures of Carinosa Dance.
II. Subject Matter
Topic. Cariñosa Dance
Reference/s: Cariñosa Dance, pp. 136 – 139, MAPEH 2 by Gonzales, et. al.
Materials: PowerPoint, Laptop, Speaker

III. Procedure
A. Preliminaries
1. Prayer
2. Greetings
3. Checking of attendance
4. Review
Motivation
Ok class. I want you to observe the picture. Then I will randomly call a
few of you to tell or to share to the class what you have observed in the
picture.
B. Activity
The teacher will group the class into two group each group will write
their insight in the dance video they what and only the leader will
present their output in the class.
C. Analysis
The teacher will ask a series of questions to the students about the
video that they watched.
 What do you think of the video?
 Do they have any similarities or distinctions with other folk
dances in the Philippines? What about music, costume,
or dancing steps?
 What can you say about the dancers' expressions?
D. Abstraction
In front of the class, the teacher will discuss the topic Cariosa and
show the eight figure of Carinosa dance. The teacher will allow the
students to observe.
E. Application
The teacher will let the group to perform the eight figures of Carinosa
dance. The task will be graded according to the following criteria:

TOTAL: 100%

IV. Evaluation:
Give the eight figures of Carinosa?

V. Assignment:
The teacher will give a task to the students to make an essay about their
