Conversion Functions

These functions help to convert data into another form


1. To_NUBMER(char): It converts a character value
expressing a number to a number data type. Given
that Character is a numeric value, still it represents
a number.

2. TO_CHAR: it converts the value of a number data


type to a char data type. It is a number format in
which number has to appear. If fmt action is
omitted. Numeric value is converted to a character

3. TO_CHAR: It coverts a value of a data type to char


data type
