CONTINUATION OF “PROBABLE CAUSE AFFIDAVI (On March 20, 2020 at 11:08pm officers responded to AIAAMAIMMEB for 2 missing person call for service. Officers spoke with the reporting person Mia | Alderman who advised she isthe guardian for her granddaughter Mary Collins. Alderman stated that Mary eft her home on March 28, 2020 at approximately em and has not been seen ar heard from since. When Mary let the house, she took an Uber to the NoDa area of Chariotte. Missing Person Detectives | “ive a tip fromMll who stated she spoke with a male named Jimmy Salerno Ml advised that Jimmy told her he was at a party with Mary and that kelly and Lavi tied her up and beat her in.a bathtub. They later hid her body in a mattress and wanted to burn the mattress, | On Apri 4th Homicide Detectives were brought into the investigation after QS, contacted detectives again providing more information about the | case. Detectives contacted @Mg who agreed to come to the Law Enforcement Center to be interviewed. QIN also came to the Law Enforcement Center ‘0 provide information about this case. QQ) ad QM a6vised that they talked with Jimmy the first time when he told them about being at a party with Mary, Kelly and Lavi, He stated they tied up Mary and beat her in a bathtub and later hid her body ina mattress UNIMB advised that Jimmy wrapped the body in Saran wrap and duct tape and put her in the mattress. @lM spoke with Jimmy a second time when he told her the police searched the apartment and didn’t ‘ind the body, so she is still there. @™iilBthen advised that she heard Lavi was trying to pay somecne to get rd of the body. anc MMMM stated that jimmy told them he had pictures of the body on hs phone. Detectives applied for and were granted a search warrant. Contact was made with Lavi when he | Cxted the apartment. They attempted to cal out Kelly bt did not get a response. Entry was made and Kelly wes located in the bed possibly under the influence | When officers cleared the apartment, they pulled blankets ofthe bed in the master bedroom and saw what appeared to be a bouy inside rash, bags inside the mattress, Detectives cut open the trash bags and found a body wrapped in several layers of duct tape. Inside the trash bags were Cascade dish detergents and mokin spice shower gel to help mask the smell. Detectiveslocated the victim's license and bank card hidden in the bedroom under a stack of pavers. Letectives also located blood throughout the master bedroom and bath. Crime scene utilized the chemical blue star and received a positive reaction for blood in | the bathroom. Detective located saran wrap and duct tape and a box for contractor grade trash bags in the residence.
