The Civic Welfare Training Center (CWTS) a component of NSTP is a course that sets the basic framework
of service to the community and the Filipino people as the basis for all NSTP component courses. It
emphasizes the values of honor and excellence in the service of the people, and is consistent with the
principles embodied in the NSTP IRR of 2009 on health, education, safety, livelihood, environment,
entrepreneurship, safety, recreation, morale of the citizenry, and other social welfare service.

COURSE GOALS AND LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of the course the students are expected to:


Course Outcome 1. Develop the ethics of service;
2. Imbibe good citizenship values of being Maka-diyos, Maka- Tao,
Maka- kalikasan at Makabansa;
3. Demonstrate preparedness and skills to be tapped for civic welfare and
military training most especially during calamities.;
4. Inculcate spirit of patriotism, nationalism, good citizenship values as
potent force of nation buidling;
5. Develop physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual and social well-being. ;
6. Enhance civic consciousness and defense preparedness ;
7. Advance involvement in civic and public affairs.; and
8. Gain knowledge, skills and attitude towards deepen understanding and
heightened appreciation of their role in promotion of common good and
general welfare.
