The POWERTORON Ver5 differs from formerly version in the following function.
Utilize the function as equipped with CT.
(The CT range must fixed and arranged their own system)
8) The control made of soft start and constant current start is same as conventional

[4J Electric wiring.
There are two wiring systems, one is 3 wires and another is 6wire systems.
The 3 wires system is shown in Fig.2 and 6 wires in Fig.3.
Wiring must be strictly in accordance with following instruction.

1 ) For obtaining a correct rotation direction, check if the phase rotation of power supply is
correct.
2) For reversing the rotation, U and V phase orR and S must be changed.

4) For the two way rotation, the similar change as above must be made.
In this case, it is very important that there absolutely needs no change in RST.
Note:
5) When using a positive reverse turn in both, too, don't replace R.S.T aspect on the side of
the power supply and replace an aspect on the sides U.V.W and X.Y.Z of the electric
machine terminal respectively.
Caution:
When replacing an aspect of R.S.T of the side of the power supply when changing the
direction of the turn, of the 1) clause becomes not formed and the electric machine doesn't
start normally.
The careful confirmation is necessary because there is a case where the bump vibration
occurs.
6
[ 5] Checking before use
When the installation and wiring works are completed.
Perform the following inspection must be made before operation.
1) Wiring error?
2) Short circuit?
3 ) Grounding?
4) Loose screws and terminals ?
1) There are 3 plugs of gate as Gl,G2,Kl,K2 for SCR(R,S,T phase) and 5 pulugs
of control on the PCB.
It pulls out 3plugs of gate (J3,J4,J5), and J1, J2, J6, J7, J8 respectively.
It separates PCB from the test voltage totally or each one of the plug.
It confirms an installation condition and it is PCB input·output pin.
It must made no voltage and the no potential difference.
It removes a fuse on the primary and secondary of the 3phase.
Also pulling out primary and secondary connector of the neutral PCB.
It recommended referring to the schematic drawing.
2) When execute the test of PCB, it must use the range of the check meter at the high esistance.

The setup of the above VR sis done with the POTs as below:·
VR3, VR8, VR9, and VRlO are to be used for the setup of the motor input voltage at the

When one setting is selected, others cannot be operable.
Though all the above have been set when shipped out from our factory, kindly re·check
before use.
In addition when not putting m CT input, the following function does not
operate.
11
2 ) Setup of a constant current starting system.
Like a purifier or a blower, even when the big load of inertia power enlarges
acceleration torque, motor is not immediately put into operation only by capacity
becoming a power-supply large.
Iflong time is spent and it starts with the minimum torque which can accelerate
a motor, a motor can be put into operation even ifthe capacity of a power supply
is small.

13)·2 Constant current starting
The following figure illustrates the starting characteristic at the time of a constant
current starting.
Even when the big load of inertia power enlarges acceleration torque, acceleration of a
motor cannot be performed immediately but only input electric power becomes large.
Constant current starting input fixed voltage which can accelerate load into a motor ,and a
motor makes it accelerate. If rotation of a motor goes up to near 70% of rated rotation, the
input voltage of a motor will be raised gradually after that.
If it does so, input electric power can put [that it is small and] into operation.
Moreover- It is effective when the load torque in early stage of starting puts big
equipment into operation .

[14 ] Maintenance
SCR (SCR) currently used for Powertron is designed so that it can fully be
equal to severe operation within capacity.
However, as for SCR, it is conditions that the temperature of the center
an element operates at the temperature of 120°C or less.
Therefore, since heat dissipation is reduced, the impurity of a heat sink
and a cooling fan's defect become the cause of overheating of SCR.
You have to act check and cleaning as a heat sink and a cooling fan sometimes.
21
(1) A check of the abnormalities of Powetron.
Check of Powertron is performed as follows.
After intercepting the main power-supplies switch, please measure each
resistance of the unit terminals U,V,W<R,S, and T using a tester.
You have to use the tester of the range ofx lKQ.
22
A'ITENTION TO USE SAFETY
* Before the installation, the wiring ,operation and maintenance and a check,
often use "the treatment manual", "the treatment guide" on the reading.
* When the manner of using isn't appropriate, there is possibility to cause
a serious injury accident.
* As for taking on the treatment of the sterter, keep the following item.
DANGER
CAUTION
23
